Really? None that I know. There are self-indulgent exceptions, but the ones I know—and it's a big number—live in a small room, own nothing, don't eat enough to keep me going, get up early, say their breviary, meet with parishioners with problems, hear confessions, meet with parish groups and charities, say Mass, go to bed early, and do it over again the next day. With a smile. How many do you know?

I was not thinking about the priest I became close to on the tennis court in town. He was an absolute gentleman, from the Philippines, and probably one of the kindest men I have met. No, he was not living in luxury. He is, to my knowledge, one of the finest representatives of Christ I could imagine.

Guess I was thinking of the Pope and his anti-capitalist rants. Rubs me the wrong way.
