Sounds like a close to shore capable small battleship.

Sounds like a cruiser name, and it’s smaller than the destroyer where I was assigned.

I’m so sure I would like to be on a ship named after a bankrupt, dying city.

The 389-foot long, 7.5-million-pound littoral combat ship... is being built in Marinette, Wis. It will sail after the Detroit ceremony to its home port in San Diego. Now I've got the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald stuck in my head.
Don't go in November... or other months when Lake Superior is ice covered like May this year.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This has got to be satire!!! Name it the “Coleman Young” so we all know why it sank.
To: shove_it
At least it wasn’t the USS District of Columbia. The cost just to run it would be 21.2 billion an hour.

Will Liberals be running the USS Detroit? If so, it’ll be sunk before the ceremony.
