MARIETTA, GA. A Georgia man who police say intentionally killed his toddler son by leaving the boy inside a hot SUV was exchanging nude photos with women the day his son died and had looked at websites that advocated against having children, a detective testified Thursday.
Cobb County Police Detective Phil Stoddard testified at a hearing that evidence showed Justin Ross Harris was practically leading a double life and should not be granted bond. Stoddard described the evidence police have suggesting Harris, who is charged with murder, killed his 22-month-old son Cooper intentionally.
Harris and his wife had two life insurance policies for the toddler, one for $2,000 and one for $25,000. Furthermore, Harris' wife had become unhappy with her husband's spending habits, Stoddard said.
Here from the Daily Mail:
Investigators told the court that when Leanna Harris met her husband at the police station she asked:
‘Did you say too much?’
My husband, being of Irish descent and quite an expert on the issue of revenge, has several ideas for what should be done with this monster.
“who wants to see that naked?
people are so strange.”
Some people are strange AND wicked. Probably what turned some of them on even more was the texts describing what he was up to.
At this point Im not convinced of premeditated murder
Two life insurance policies out on YOUR BABY????? Who the hell does that???
I would have taken that baby. Along with a hundred thousand other families. Anyone to do that to a child — and what, at lunch the child still had a pulse so he went back to work for more sexting??
Hell is about five levels too good for this monster.
I’d love to be on the jury that will hear this case (assuming he doesn’t reach some sort of plea bargain). We’d set a new record for “fastest guilty verdict.”
According to witnesses, she then said her husband must have left the toddler in the car.
Now why would her mind go immediately to that???
I watched all today’s testimony. The policies are, along with, “financial difficulties” are motives according to the detective. What isn’t written in the newspapers is one was through his work and $2k Many companies have free policies as a benefit. That said they did buy $25k. I bought $20K for all my kids.
More disturbing is the detectives TESTIMONY for prosecution they said the couple had “financial difficulties”. On cross his TESTIMONY was shown to be without merit. No bank statements no collections NOTHING. ONLY THE DETECTIVE INTENTIONALLY MISINTERPRETING A QUESTION ABOUT “financial difficulty” to the wife and her answer “ no more than any other couple” as verified financial difficulty. He was ridiculous and combatively equivocating.
This tells me the detective and CCPD developed the theory and have only presented real evidence and putting of anything they can’t or won’t answer with “we have not reviewed all the evidence”
There is a lot more wrong with the case I saw. It will all come out after full discovery. I predict they won’t make premeditated felony murder stick
They wouldn’t have gotten the insurance money. Of course, it wouldn’t take Edward G. Robinson to see through this insurance scam...
They should get the maximum sentence allowed by the law of their state. This is disgusting. They are animals....no lower than animals.....................
My kids are 6, 5, 3, and 20 months...I had to hug each of them after hearing about this story. How anyone could make to suffer such a innocent gift from God is beyond my ability to comprehend. Pure evil is all I can come up with. Give them both the death penalty if indeed they were both in on it.
Hillbillies and CRIMINALS chew gum....re BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!!
Get real.....they will and SHOULD FRY!!
Did you watch the entire hearing?
Apparently the day care center sent an email out around 1 PM inquiring about the child.
Do you have kids?
I have 2 little ones. I would never in a million years accidentally leave one in the car. Absolutely impossible.
Searching for how long it takes for an animal to die in a hot car? Searching how to survive prison? The mother immediately assuming the dad left him in the car when she went to pick the boy up?
100% guilty.
I’m not aware of any animals that purposely leave their young to roast in hot cars.
This is what PEOPLE do.
Well that quote is gonna come back around in trial for sure.
From same article....
On Thursday it emerged he had also done an internet search for ‘how to survive in prison’ before the toddler’s death

I’ll ask you too. Did you watch the entire hearing?
Yes I have two. Both living. 30 and 38. If that makes any difference to the evidence (a lot of hearsay today and insinuations) in this case.
