Nothing in life is free. And now that Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) was able to narrowly beat his Tea Party rival, due to thousands of black Democrats who crossed party lines to vote in the GOP primary runoff, his new constituency is looking to cash in on their influence.
In their minds, Cochran, who is in line to chair the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee if Republicans take back the Senate, is now a part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)--and should vote like a CBC member.
According to Politico, "Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are talking about what they want Cochran to do" if he gets re-elected for another six-year term. Their wishlist includes "maintaining funding for food stamps, beefing up programs that help poor blacks in Mississippi and even supporting the Voting Rights Act."

Let’s not forget wicker here, he’s right there with thad, all the way and when thad loses the democrats will be looking to wicker to make good on thad’s debt and roger will most likely be happy to oblige, he’s getting to be as good as thad at spending money and appointing activist judges. Gee I wonder where wicker and Cochran stand on amnesty? Anything for barbour.
Heel, white boy !!!!!
IMHO, he has no chance to be re-elected. None

You may well be 100% correct. But strange things happen in elections sometimes. In both the
latest Senator general elections for Wicker and Cochran there were about 1.2 million votes
cast. This is about double the primary numbers cast. Wicker got about 57% and Cochran
got about 64%. Where all those extra voters came from is hard to tell. Thus the non primary
voters may succumb to who knows what kind of a pitch offered by the candidates.
This is his last election. He can promise them anything. He will have infinite flexibility once he gets reelected.
It ain't easy votin' all day long...we demands payment.
The Democrats own the GOP-e... so what else is new?

True enough.
When you’re a piece of dirt, expect the worms.
A politician will do anything to survive.
Damn! Talk about an uneducated post. You just rang the bell!
“We Own You Now”...........
The demodummies have owned Cochran for a long time as he has been their “pork deliverer” and if he fails to provide for them this time, they will get the revenge. I hope he fails.
