Thad Cochran won a primary runoff by turning out the black vote. Now they are asking what are you going to do for us?
Already the members of the Congressional Black Caucus are talking about what they want Cochran to do. The wish list is filling up with ideas like maintaining funding for food stamps, beefing up programs that help poor blacks in Mississippi and even supporting the Voting Rights Act.
Absolutely we have expectations, Rep Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), said in an interview.
And while Cochran beat back a tea party challenger by reminding voters, particularly black voters, that he brings home the federal bucks, the policy asks are far more liberal than much of what the moderate Republican has championed in his four decades in office.
But thats the Washington game. Cochran asked for a favor and now his new supporters are plotting how to cash it in.
My hat is off to Sen. Cochran for being as desperate as he was, to actually go out and up front got out and ask for those votes, said Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.). Those votes were delivered and Im hopeful he will be responsible and responsive to the voters that pushed him over the top.

It doesn’t work like that... maybe someone can tell THEM how much they owe the SYSTEM
They didn’t vote for Cochran. They voted against his opponent.
Of course there are strings. Did Cochran think that appealing to Rats to help him win a primary challenge would come without them? Or does he care as long as he keeps his seat.
Mississippians ought to go ahead and vote for a real Democrat instead of just a RINO.
First of all, he has to win the general to repay them - however, they will get repaid one way or the other if Childers wins. Its a win/win for the takers of MS.
He does. Big time.
“It doesnt work like that... maybe someone can tell THEM how much they owe the SYSTEM.”
It has been working for them ever since LBJ declared war on poverty. Trillions and trillions of $ have been flushed into the hands of the poor to spend on drugs, rap music, illegal guns and to breed more.
Blacks to Thad Cochran: You owe us
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Riiiggghht. He screwed over his wife, his party, his constituents, even a barnyard animal or two.
What makes the Blacks think he won’t screw them over too?
You get thugs to help you and those thugs are gonna want a piece of the action ... LOL ...
Nope. Congress works for elite finance to rule over us sheeple on their behalf.
The sheeple, regardless of their color, continue to be clueless.
Sheeple certainly are good at keeping themselves poor and without influence.
Some are workers, others are freeloaders, but in either case they’re simply merchandise for the financial elites.
Vey well characterised. Which says, as is true, that the NAACP and black leadership are nothing more than mafia thugs. Bit we already knew that.
Hell, everybody owes ‘em something..............just ask ‘em, most of ‘em will say it right to your face.
Thad Cochran proposes bill to finally give repatriations. Would offer people of color an Cadillac Escalade with lifetime fuel, Unlimited Direct TV service with season pass for NBA, NFL, double their federal assistance, 3 bedroom apartments with utilities paid.
The GOP needs to reach out to blacks!
I don’t know who is more pathetic.
The blacks are reminding Cochran that there’s still another election and if he wants them, it’s gonna’ cost him. Otherwise they’ll go back to the plantation from whence they came.
So Cochran found himself mugged in the parking lot? Well, well.
These are the same plantation masters who are always telling black people that it's much better to live on the subsistence-level hand-outs of the government plantation rather than risk the horrors and uncertainties of freedom (or, as Uncle Tom Obama and his Democrat supporters like to call it, "You're-On-Your-Own-Economics.")
