McDaniel trounced the old liberal Cochoran among republican voters. McDaniels should first protest the result, calling for a full investigation, then run as a write-in candidate. To hell with RINOs.

It is my understanding that MS law prohibits those who voted in the Democratic primary to also vote in the Republican run off. I hope there is a review of those that voted to see if there are any overlapping names between the two. If there are more than 6,000 such overlapping names, I would say that would be very solid grounds for a lawsuit.

Reminds me of how Murkowski won her write-in campaign in Alaska. Republicans didn’t want her, so ‘Rats voted for her to stop Miller. I would not vote for this scumbag if I lived in MS. When people decide to burn bridges, they should pay the price for that decision.

Look. I am upset by this result as much as anyone. However, it’s an idiotic open Primary. There is nothing to contest. The nitwits in the GOP let this happen. They could have set up a closed Primary system but didn’t.

Further, the sore loser law probably even prevents a write in. Now I’d write him in in a heartbeat if I could vote in MS. But, sadly, we were gamed by the GOPe. It’s old political “dirty tricks” but that doesn’t make them illegal. I’m open to any facts that say that it was, but I don’t see any. What I see is a bunch of Libtard blacks saving a RINOs a**.

I thought McDaniel was protesting the results, and looking into whether or not the Dems in the run off voted in the first?

I want to repeat an idea I had:

When GOP or a RINO send envelopes for donations, return them empty except a piece of paper with “Remember Mississippi” printed in big letters.

That way they get the message and have to pay someone to open the envelope.

Everyone who thinks this stuff needs to stop should vote for the Democrat in the general election. Mark you calendars, I just said to vote for a Democrat.

I keep hearing about an investigation... of what? The only possible wrong doing is if some of the voters previously voted in the DemocRAT primary. What else to investigate?

But I agree, run as a write-in so TEA Party Types do not have to vote for a RINO or RAT.

Anybody interested in letting the Republican National Committee know what they think: http://www.gop.com/contact-us/
Only takes a minute and a little better than doing nothing.

A protest wont help anything. If Mc Daniel wants to be viable in the future, he should accept his defeat and be graceful towards Cochran. The reason Cochran won is because he had the Barbour Political Machine Behind him and they knew how to game the system. They followed all the rules and McDaniel as a “roookie” got caught by surprise. If the Republicans want to change the rules to a closed primary, they should do just that. In the meantime, the rules are what they are.

Well, it was probably 5,000 Democratic voters each voting in 7 different districts...

Dem Al Franken objected in his Senate race. Guess it’s alright to protest when you are a Dem.

Sayonara Haley, Rove, mcLame, McConnell, Boehner.
Good luck with your newly found supporters Thad in November.

I read on another thread that the Dem is both pro gun and pro life. Makes crossing over a little easier.

Given the demographics of the state, the Dem gets to be a single term Senator. Unless he switches parties.

I love that idea! My sister does something similar. When she gets pro-abortion mailers, she returns them with the note “I wish your mother had aborted you!”

The only legal argument is to check to see if 5000 of those voted in the primary a few weeks ago. If not, this is a matter of principles and taking a stand against a corrupt party...not a legal matter. Accepting the results according to election law is just one aspect. Accepting a candidate and assisting reelection using these tactics is another. The party needs to know they crossed a line and will not be rewarded. Even if it means losing a seat. Essentially, it’s lost anyway.
