Everyone who thinks this stuff needs to stop should vote for the Democrat in the general election. Mark you calendars, I just said to vote for a Democrat.
I read on another thread that the Dem is both pro gun and pro life. Makes crossing over a little easier.
Given the demographics of the state, the Dem gets to be a single term Senator. Unless he switches parties.
I’m not voting for a rat.
Travis Childers is a local businessman, a member of a church and is active, he spends time with his local people, he listens and takes the time to hear them. He is friendly and pleasant. He's a member of the NRA and is as Conservative as many of us, moreso than Cochran. With McDaniel out of the picture, there is no chance of getting someone in D.C. that will speak for the Conservative concerns as McDaniel promised. That leaves me a choice between the men without respect to party because in the bigger picture it means nothing, we are going to have a Democrat supporter up there anyway. Cochran will likely step down and another will be appointed by the GOPE which means we don't even have a choice in the issue if Cochran wins. Childers at least will listen and make decisions with at least having listened to his constituents as Cochran hasn't. So, who is the most logical choice for someone like me if my choice is between Childers or Cochran?
Great. Enjoy 2 more years of Harry Reid, and probably 2 or 3 new Supreme Court Justices.
Let’s show our anger by shooting ourselves in the head.
“Everyone who thinks this stuff needs to stop should vote for the Democrat in the general election. Mark you calendars, I just said to vote for a Democrat.”
Target the empire builders. Crossovers to zero out Boehner or McConnell or Cochran for instance would be worth the cost of losing three Repcrats to provide the example to the others.
WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong. When you do that, the ONLY THING YOUR VOTE DOES is to inflate the "legitimate mandate" of the liberal Democrat victor, as if "everybody" just loves what he stands for.
Everyone who thinks this stuff needs to stop should vote FOR a candidate in the general who would act to PROMOTE limited government conservatism, EVEN IF that candidate is an off-party ("third" party is misleading because the Dem and Rep parties are functionally ONE party) with little chance of winning.
That way, your vote SUBTRACTS FROM THE POPULAR MANDATE of whichever liberal wins, the Democrat or the Republican.
Voting for a Democrat is as stupid as voting for a liberal Republican, and EVERY BIT AS DESTRUCTIVE.
When you vote for something, you had better vote for whatever it is you want to win. People who weren't elected aren't the ones causing problems -- the ones causing problems are the ones who were ELECTED. So ANYTIME you vote, you should ONLY think in terms of what will happen if your guy WINS.
