A Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee says Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki cannot keep his country together, and a U.S. alliance with Iran might be needed to do so.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday a U.S. partnership with longtime foe Iran makes him uncomfortable but likened it to the United States working with Josef Stalin in World War II against Adolf Hitler. He says the United States has to do what it can to keep Baghdad from falling to insurgents.
"We should have discussions with Iran to make sure they don't use this as an opportunity to seize control of parts of Iraq," Graham said. "They're in this. They're already on the ground. We need to put a red line with Iran."
Asked how, Graham replied, "You just sit down and talk with them."

Al-qaeda used to be an organization that was scattered and had a number of training camps in scattered, remote locations.
Now, thanks to Obama, Hillary and their allies such as Little Lindsey Graham and Juan McCain, Al-qaeda has become much more than simply an organization of people. With the arms and funds that Obama and Hillary have given to them, ISIS has made Eastern & Northern Syria and the northern third of Iraq into also being a vast PHYSICAL, GEOGRAPHIC AL-QAEDA in a NON-REMOTE, STRATEGICALLY LOCATED area of the Middle East.
It is impossible to overstate the danger and harm this is creating for the national security of Western nations. Obama is achieving his dream of achieving a vast weakening of America and the progressive ruling establishment of our country is essentially cheering him on.
Hopefully the sand Nazis will massacre each other for decades. The more they kill each other, the fewer of them to kill us.
So Joe, what will be the borders of these three countries? Who decides who gets the oil revenue? How do you create a viable Sunni state? And Turkey, our NATO ally, has said it will never accept an independent Kurdistan. So what so we do with the Kurds, Joe? I mean the Kurds who are also in Iran and Syria on the border?

Those that brought down the twin towers in 2001, the Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Boko Haram, Muslim Brotherhood, our guests at Gitmo, Al-Qaeda, ISAS and our own sweet and beloved CAIR are all members of the Sunni sect.
I daresay that more than 95% of our fighting men/women killed and maimed in the fight against Islam were victims of Sunni violence, NOT Shia’s.
Careful who you brand the largest sponsor of terrorism. Take a good look at our “friends” in the Middle East.
The Kurds already have their state. ISIS/ISIL let them have Kirkuk. ISIS/ISIL needs a buffer to keep the Turks out of their business. Now the Turks have to take on the Kurds before they can even enter the ISIS theater.

I labeled Iran correctly. Iran works with Sunnis, especially the Wahhabis, Salafis and of course the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas and even the Taliban. I daresay that they all have read Sun Tzu’s treatise called “The Art Of War”, especially the part where it says “Feign disorder, and crush (your enemy)” (I:20).
The only dispute that exists between the Sunni and Shi’a branches of Islam is who has the right to be the Caliph, with the Shi’ites maintaining that only a direct descendant of Mohammed may claim that position. Aside from that, they all agree who the so-called “Great Satan” is.

The Devil ALWAYS gets his due, and that was 45 Years of Enslavement of Eastern Europe and the unresolved problems in Korea.

The main problem with the whole mess was and is America’s leaders trying to hedge their bets and get the other guy to do their dirty work.
For millenia, war was fought brutally. The idea being to win and leave fear in the enemy and potential enemies. Nations committed to war. Alliances when they happened, happened with allies not opponents. And history shows that wars fought with less than ‘allies’ on ones side led to huge messes later.
It does not matter if one talks geopolitics, party politics or hopscotch. Good id good, evil is evil. Side with evil in the name of doing good and problems follow.
If you cannot win it alone, don’t start the fight. And there is no fight that America cannot win on it’s own. We just allow liberals to run wars.
Which is why this thread even exists to begin with. It is the result of liberals allowed into power dictating terms of engagement, allies and enemies.
