These shocking photos show child immigrants crammed inside cages and tiny rooms at a U.S. Government border facility - further highlighting the humanitarian crisis along America's border with Mexico.
The images were taken at a holding center in Texas which can no longer accommodate large numbers of children and mothers traveling alone with their kids, forcing the federal government to open more facilities.
Caged: Congressman Henry Cuellar took these shocking images to highlight how overwhelmed the US authorities are with the recent tide of illegal immigrants
Young faces: The pictures, taken recently, show just how many of the illegal immigrants are children - many of whom have no supervising adult. Up to 400 a day are pouring over the border
In one snap, taken during a tour of the Customs and Border Protection facility in South Texas, a large group of immigrants are locked in a wire mesh cage.
In another, tiny children run around a packed room and foil sheets the only blankets they have cover the concrete floors.
Up to 40 people a time - most appearing dirty and dejected - can be seen in filling rooms only large enough for ten.
This comes as the MailOnline learns that overworked border patrol officers struggling to cope with the huge influx are separating diseased child immigrants with make-shift quarantine methods - yellow evidence tape.

What a slap in the face when the “Guatemalan Counsel” looked in on the children and complained about the conditions......he should be jailed for child trafficking.
The "cage" they talk about is an entry portal to the processing and holding facility.
The bigger picture is that the abuse stems from the people that send children half way across a continent with no means of support to throw them out on another country's doorstep.
This is all orchestrated and you don't have to be a genius to figure this out.
And how is it that it’s only a lopsided age distribution?
Because it is for PR purposes.
This is another Obama stunt.
..... Been looking for the interview ever since he announced his run for the presidency but it has vanished. Kept thinking it would eventually pop up during the presidential campaign but it didn't. If anybody has some internet sleuthing skills I would also love a copy cuz this would make a great piece to splash all over the net and airwaves. They obviously knew that this could be used against him during the campaign so his handlers probably made it disappear like so many other controversial things having to do with this mans shady past.
We need to load them all up in buses and drop them on the steps of Congress. I would say the White Hut, but that’s not so easy to get to.
They entered from Mexico, send them back to Mexico.
Waaaaaaaaay over the line.
The only way to stop this is make the elites deal with them. Drop them off at Clinton’s, Kerry’s, Holder’s, etc. neighborhoods.
I heard this morning they want to ship a lot of them to Baltimore but the Baltimore officials are fighting the idea
Why are they not shipping them South ???
South South that is...
Shock 'em back. Go way overboard. Make them stutter into silence.
Another issue. Summer in the cities could get weird if more hispanic criminal types are added to the racial mix.
This is wrong on so many levels.
By playing into their most vicious stereotypes of conservatives. Yeah, good plan.
Sometimes the only way to get through to people is to put in their face. Let these kids go to their elite schools then the crap will change fast. Notice it's always the little people that have to eat crap and shut up. I am tired of it, but I am but one voice.
Symbolism doesn’t do much for me.
“Diseased & Desperate”
I thought they were describing Biden.....
Some reports say they are riding open flat bed railroad cars from Mexico into the USA.
Isn’t there ANT inspections done of such trains coming into America?
So what is your solution?
