The first openly gay Episcopal bishop, who became a symbol for gay rights far beyond the church while deeply dividing the world's Anglicans, plans to divorce his husband.
Bishop Gene Robinson announced the end of his marriage to Mark Andrew in an email sent to the Diocese of New Hampshire, where he served for nine years before retiring in 2012.
Robinson would not disclose details about the end of their 25-year relationship but wrote Sunday in The Daily Beast he owed a debt to Andrew "for standing by me through the challenges of the last decade."

At least, for Bishop Vicky Gene, this is a step in the right direction.
Satan is smiling.
The styrofoam Greek pillars of Obama’s Brave New Homo World are starting to crumble.
What’s next?
Dopers and Choomers giving up cocaine and weed?
Did he find somebody new?/s
Not his first divorce, either.
Divorce his husband? Then must be the catcher, or wife.
In 32,000,000,000,000 years, I would have never guessed that they might divorce.
Why don’t homos just form their own church?
Yep. First he divorced his wife and dumped his kids. Now he’s divorced his husband. What’s next, a billygoat?
Every damn day, this puke wears the Holy cloth to preach his immoral lifestyle and you think the Big Guy upstairs isn’t taking notes?
Has he introduced the world to his new 18 year-old boyfriend yet?
This is very disturbing news to the people of NH, we can be sure.
How can you get a divorce if you were never married?.../s
The liberal MSM keeps referring to marriage as “civil unions” everywhere online and on TV. Now I wonder why they would do that? (rhetorical question)
I’m sure he’ll continue to find ways to satisfy his carnal desires.
I know a former Catholic who became an Episcopal priest when RCC bishops wouldn’t ordain him with his “life partner” standing there “giving him away to the church”
I am glad he has found companionship (they’ve been together over 25 years).
I still can’t understand why some of these churches accept this sort of thing in their clergy especially. It sets an awful example for the laity
and especially any youth
Correction:
he owed a debt to Andrew "for standing by BEHIND me through the challenges of the last decade."
The stupid bass turd demanded that he be allowed to “marry” a man and now he wants to “divorce” that man. Freakin’ loon.
What is the rule for making reference to the other person in the “marriage” of one man to another? If a man “marries” another man, is that man a “wife” or a “husband”, or a “spouse”?
I say “marries” because it is only what the State has sanctioned. God makes it clear that He cannot sanction when two people of the same sex think they are “married”.
