Paul, according to CNN, also talked about making the Republican party bigger and much more inclusive, saying that unless Republicans broaden their message to reach more people, winning future elections is going to be a bit of a problem.
You go to a Republican event and its all white peoplenot because were excluding anybody, but because we just havent done a good enough job encouraging people to come into our party.

Another racist,great
“Havent you noticed, Libertarians never attack the democrats for their failed policies.”
I have noticed that. Libertarians attack conservatives non-stop. They hate us as much as the Democrats and Rinos do.
What a moron! Keep trashing fellow Republicans and Tea Partiers, soon you can be John McCain, or Mitch McConnell
Runt Paul for President! Woo! Woo!
I’m not a Rand Paul fan, and am becoming less so by the minute. I will agree that it’s a shame we don’t have more “people of color” who espouse Conservative principles, but I don’t think it’s our fault (at least mostly). I think it’s much more the “crabs in the pot” syndrome (or whatever it’s called. You know, where the crabs in the pot keep pulling down the crabs trying to climb OUT of the pot.
I think “crabs in the pot” is a huge problem, because I experienced it myself growing up, in a different way. I grew up the child of self-taught intellectuals in a very small town, where kids who pronounced long words correctly (or even USED “big words,” Heaven forfend!) were made fun of relentlesslly. I really learned to just keep my mouth SHUT from about age six to when I escaped to college. So I have great sympathy for black people or brown people who are viciously told they’re acting “too white!” for any of a number of offenses, which include thinking for one’s self about politics.
I do think we should grab onto the Conservative “people of color” role models that we find and support them as much as possible. There are some people who we’ll never reach, but other people who see yet another article about Ben Carson and may finally think, “Hey, that dude is pretty cool.” And maybe we can take that lid off the crab pot! ;)
They already did, they used to be democrats now they are called RINOs, many of them switched parties to ride in on Reagan's coat tails.
They like me they really like me!!!. Just when you think we have a contender they manage to step on thier d##k while thier a## is on fire.
Pretty soon it won’t have them either.
Why would he say such a thing?! Not only is it untrue, it just gives the left more ammo. What a dolt!
Because he is a liberal. Not a conservative. And his supporters do nothing but put up yet another roadblock for conservative minded people to overcome. The sooner they are stopped from obstructing us with their pretend conservative candidates every election season, the sooner we can get back to advancing our cause instead of fighting with them over theirs.
We have to be more race conscious and pander to non-whites (aka people of color).
Next the fraud will use that farcical ‘Check your privilege’ line making the rounds.
Or that we are heartless.
“How did Reagan win two massive landslides? He sure as hell didn’t play identity politics. Lots of blacks and Hispanics crossed over and voted for him.”
That might as well been 10 million years ago. Our Country is 100% different now that it was just a short 30 years ago.
Sad to say but when the most horrific thing happening in our Country today is what a landowner in Nevada called blacks and what an NBA owner said in private to his chick instead of
1) Out of control govt waste
2) giving cartels weapons to undermine the 2nd
3) Free healthcare for anyone, even illegals
3) no southern border ever again
4) explosion of federal agency military
5) IRS as a weapon for the left
6) NSA into everything
etc
etc
well you get picture that our future is not too bright. And Rand, who I used to like, sure is a disappointment. Should have expected it I guess.
Now if Ted Cruz changes colors.
Sad to say Rand is nothing like his dad.
Liberalize? More like “libertarianize.”
Either Rand was a liar in 2010 or he sold out afterward like many have to obtain more power. Right now he should be taking tough Conservative stands. Instead he’s waving a white flag to the GOP-E and Reid while posing as a spokesman for Conservatives. He is a Liberal Enabler.
Same thing.
We don’t hand out welfare to animal filth.
Indeed you are right.
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
