EXCLUSIVE--TEXAS AG ABBOTT TO BLM: 'COME AND TAKE IT'
Breitbart ^ | April 22, 2014 | By Bob Price

Posted on 04/22/2014 1:56:16 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

After Breitbart Texas reported on the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) intent to seize 90,000 acres belonging to Texas landholders along the Texas/Oklahoma line, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott questioned the BLM’s authority to take such action.

“I am about ready,” General Abbott told Breitbart Texas, “to go to go to the Red River and raise a ‘Come and Take It’ flag to tell the feds to stay out of Texas.”

Gen. Abbott sent a strongly-worded letter to BLM Director Neil Kornze, asking for answers to a series of questions related to the potential land grab.

“I am deeply concerned about the notion that the Bureau of Land Management believes the federal government has the authority to swoop in and take land that has been owned and cultivated by Texas landowners for generations,” General Abbott wrote. “The BLM’s newly asserted claims to land along the Red River threaten to upset long-settled private property rights and undermine fundamental principles—including the rule of law—that form the foundation of our democracy. Yet, the BLM has failed to disclose either its full intentions or the legal justification for its proposed actions. Decisions of this magnitude must not be made inside a bureaucratic black box.”

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas, General Abbott said, “This is the latest line of attack by the Obama Administration where it seems like they have a complete disregard for the rule of law in this country ...And now they’ve crossed the line quite literally by coming into the State of Texas and trying to claim Texas land as federal land. And, as the Attorney General of Texas I am not going to allow this.”

We are here in Louisiana right next to Texas. if Obama’s federal government do that to Texas we will come to support Texas as the cowboys did to support Bundy at Bunkerville

I’ll be proud to stand beside him on the Red River. I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could.

At least (the fetching Missus' Bullets and) my sprouts are native Texans...and they remind me. :)

I am going to have to make a call or two tonight.

An AG knows the law typically better than most. I do wonder if this is an elected position, but even so statements like this are pretty rare.

If they follow through, we may have an interesting time ahead. The BLM/FedGov is going to have to make a forceful more soon, their ego (and political theory) demand it. Much like the situation with gun owners out east. Once the state is shown to be ineffective in enforcing its will, it will either fade or escalate to bloodshed.

Perhaps Mr. Abbott is the man that can present evidence to a Grand Jury and indict Harry Reid, Rory Reid and Neil Kornze under RICO statutes.
They conspired to murder the Bundy family and steal everything they own to transfer the land to a foreign power. They are treasonous.

Come to think about it....Every Tea Party candidate needs to run ads with footage of the abuses -— BLM, IRS, etc. — with obama proudly proclaiming “yes we can” in strategic places throughout the ads.

It's what NONE of the other "constitutional conservatives" have shown us. That would be good instincts in quickly-moving events.

Texas has the most private land, most non-government owned land of any state. That is why it is the most prosperous and free of the states( no Texas state income tax etc.). government owning land is socialism. the media hides that the government owns more than a third of the land in the USA.Look at all the non-government land in Texas:

The story is posted here. It seems to be a case of “we can, so we will”.

Here is a solution to get the Feds and ultimately the greedy banksters to back off - all Sheriffs refuse to foreclose on any Homeowner. Sheriffs should insist if the Feds/Crooked Poiticians/Banksters continue to go down the unconstitutional path of land grabs in sovereign states, than they (Sheriffs) will no longer foreclose on property owners. Sheriffs could by edict tell all locals to not make mortgage notes but keep local property taxes current and they will be protected and live in their home in Peace and free from any harassment from the Feds and banksters.

Just a guess that it makes a great drug/prostitution corridor? Or just a natural barrier dividing Texas from the rest of the country, in case Texas gets all independence-minded?

Since it's a legal matter, it's Abbott's job. And I know for a fact that his office has been getting lots of input from Texans about this issue.

A couple of times from me...

I’m designing a flagpole that fits into a well on the truck bed.

Brandish indeed!
