You know the old adage:
If you give a man a fish, you can feed him for a day...but if you teach a man to fish:
He'll spend the rest of his life in a boat drinking beer.
Do you pour that Capt. Morgan concoction into the ice hole as bait? or into your mouth?
Also, how much ice do you see down in the tortugas (outside your glass)?
Wow! 40 minuets and no commentary. Everyone much be in church.
MOre bars than restaurants here but its still paradise.
ONly the ice on the shrimp boats....
Just caught the pic of Putin at church service in Moscow.
Bet we don’t see Bambi anywhere near a church. Golf course maybe. (But Golf course is not a “free speech” zone)
I have an excuse its my first day off in two weeks, gotta rest R&R.
Sorry to leave you hangin’ there.
I was out in the kitchen, fixin some breakfast; sausage, eggs-over-easy on cheese grits...skillet fried toast with strawberry jam.
I’m sure I can find something here to make a smart-remark about.
The Unfolding Fiscal Disaster Behind ACA Enrollment Figures By Charles Blahous
Earlier this month there was tremendous press attention to new data indicating that enrollment in the Affordable Care Act (ACA)s health insurance exchanges had surpassed 7 million. The White House took a victory lap while much of the press, desperate to write something positive after months of reporting on website glitches and insurance plan cancellations, characterized the milestone as good political news for ACA supporters. Our national discussion, however, is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come.
It is quite possible that the ACA is shaping up as the greatest act of fiscal irresponsibility ever committed by federal legislators. Nothing immediately comes to mind as comparable to it. Certainly no tax legislation is, because tax rates rise and fall frequently, such that one Congresss tax cut can be (and often is) undone by a later tax increase. The same is true for legislation affecting appropriated spending programs. But the ACA is a commitment to permanently subsidize comprehensive health insurance for millions who could not otherwise afford it, which the federal government has no viable plan to finance. Moreover, experience shows that it is very difficult to scale back such spending once large numbers of Americans have been made dependent on it. "
AB, thanks for the ping and thread. We don’t thank you enough and reading this every weekend is a must.
Also, happy Easter everybody.
Hey, I’ve been to your paradise and agree with you.
The Conchs are much like our good ole boys (like moi).
A slam is the only way out is the skinny little road north they use for movie stunts. Problem solved if you don’t choose to leave. No need to, until “climate change” reverses the Gulf Stream.
Only the ice on the shrimp boats.
Don't need it up here. Here's some imagery for you:
The fishermen haul the shrimp onto the boat and they freeze instantly. The guys sometimes have a barrel on the deck with a hose bringing hot water from the engine's cooling system.
They pull some shrimp, then alternately plunge their hands into the hot water to keep them from going numb.
That probably explains why the skin on their hands is an inch thick.
You’re all welcome!
Where is SC? Haven’t heard from her in awhile... SC, how are you doing? OK, I hope!
You know what else stands for SC? Superbowl Champions!!!
As far as Ukraine goes, they seemed baffled. There was no way to defend the Kiev gov, so they just reported dead people and moved on, not once citing the nature of the protest in Donetsk.
Conclusion....they're all crazed globalists, and the "sides" are bogus theater. The lady defending the NRA and criticizing Bloomberg's interference in gun control issues was okay on that issue, but didn't side with Bundy.
Martha Radditz is close to evil when she doesn't have a true conservative on the panel keeping her in line. JMHO
There are other gremlins hiding in plain sight: superinflation/super-interest rates.
Since the latter years of the Bush II administration, the FED had managed to reduce interest rates to near zero and keep the perception of inflation low. That is unsustainable.
When that damn breaks, as it did in the later years of Nixon through Carter, interest rates and inflation are going to skyrocket into the double-digits.

Well, actually Socialist Security, MediCaid, and the "War on Poverty" were all incredible wealth-distributionist, economy-killing measures, they'll be hard to beat.
As a population, we might just be smart enough to nip Obamadon'tCare in the bud. If not that is exactl right. Unfortunately all those other socialist RAT-programs are all still alive and well, plus many more.
Sorry, I disagree. They rose up and overthrew a corrupt leader, something I wish we had the guts to do.
Putin is no hero of mine, and Russia is doing everything it can to promote tension and violence, including sending in troops to kill. If Russia simply pulled out all of its undercover troops and relaxed at the borders and cooled the rhetoric, the whole crisis would easily be solved by the Ukrainian people alone.
Whites should get credit for all the good they do, I know many whites who are generous, polite, kind, and thoughtful of others.
And if Harry Reid was aware of American History, he would know about American Patriots who fought for land ownership.
Ethan Allens Great Thoughts on Property Rights
http://www.vpr.net/episode/31428/ethan-allens-great-thoughts-on-property-rights/
Ethan looked west to New York, where the great Hudson Valley land barons held farmers in a state of perpetual tenancy. He looked to New Hampshire, Massachusetts and his native Connecticut, and saw freehold property, self-governing communities, liberty, progress, and human happiness.
So Ethan vowed to defeat New Yorks feudal land grants in what is now Vermont, and establish the New England freehold property system. This was, of course, related directly to his self-interest, since Ethan and his brothers owned lots of New Hampshire grants that would become valueless if New York prevailed. But it was also Ethans intention to found a republic of free citizens, not an oligarchy of land barons and dependent serfs.
Amen.
Plus look at the comparison of “leaders”. Vlad vs. Wimple the Fool (of course they have to make W just as bad)
