Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, we are not as white as we are today.
The question notes that WWUs racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicants worth.
The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform.
Ive said before and Ill say it again, that we as a faculty and staff and student body, as an administration, if we 10 years from now are as white as we are today, we will have failed as a university, said Bruce Shepard, president of WWU, in a 2012 address.
The statements and actions of administrators suggest a preoccupation with skin color at WWU. In his address, Shepard made sure to discuss the racial make up of his new hires.
The university is also putting staff members through diversity and sensitivity training on topics such as heterosexual privilege, and language privilege. Such sessions were made voluntary after some people complained.

It is headed in that direction
By contrast, I went through kindergarten, elementary school, high school, and college and there was never a person of color at any of these schools. Alabama in those days was actively pursuing an all-white population in those schools, as opposed to this university.
Colleges already make life miserable for “Whites.” They pay full tuition, get blamed for all the ills of the world, get harassed, get passed over for awards, and then can’t find a job after they get their college “degree.”
When I went to school, everyone graduated....and no cops.
At least they understand something. Once you learn to read and write, you can teach yourself the rest. Most teens would be better of working or apprenticing.
Unfortunately, most of these kids haven't learned to read or write in school.
TRANSFER to another school. That will de-white the campus.
And the left accuses US of racism.
If you are so obsessed with the color of your student body that you make it a central goal to ensure that your students are the right race, then you’ve failed as an educator. Further, by diverting resources, time, and institutional focus away from the important task of EDUCATION in order to focus on your racial imperatives you’re wasting scarce resources and robbing the future in order to advance your racial schemes.
Here’s a radical idea - you could run the universities as meritocracies. Have the best and brightest students compete to achieve sufficient academic abilities and success so as to allow them access to the finest institutions. Further, ensure that said universities exist to provide students with the critical tools necessary to succeed to their fullest potential in a competitive world.
Imagine if some organization tried to weed out blacks, Jews or arabs....
Start accepting tuition payments from EBT cards
I guess the alums will stop sending them money now.
Oh, gag.......
Um... we could ask other people to do better.
What do liberals want me to do, I can't change the color I was born? I'm still waiting on my white privilege check. I thought about going down to the welfare office and wait in line with the minorities to ask for it, but I decided it was easier to just work. /sarc
Interesting, they usually say “get more diverse” rather than “get less White”. Must have been quite deliberate in order to draw attention to themselves and their school that no one’s ever heard of.
I sure as shite wouldn’t go there after reading this. Self-loathing Whites will eat this eat up though, it may backfire on them!
