The media's version of the end of the Bundy Ranch siege is that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) simply "left" the ranch and "returned" the cattle out of the goodness of their hearts. CBS News even outrageously reported that the BLM "released the cattle to help restore order and avoid violence"! This despite widely-seen video of BLM thugs tasing Bundy's son and shoving a pregnant woman to the ground. And the protesters never threatened violence in any way during the nearly one-week siege.
The real story was that the BLM refused to give back the cattle, and would not leave the property or disarm, to which they had agreed. The result was an epic standoff that reporter David Knight described as being like “something out of a movie.”

This incident also demonstrated which side the police will be on when the order goes out to round up the legitimate gun owners.

When you have lots of unexpected people with cell phones in a remote area it can cause congestion. More likely overload than shutting down of cell towers and I am not sure how they would shut down cell towers.

Correct. Disruption was caused by too many users trying to connect. Cell sites can only handle a finite number of connects, beyond that users get nothing.
If you ever go to a NASCAR event, you can see the cell companies set up temp cell towers so the crowd can use their internet deices and cell phones.

IMHO this event hi-lites the total corruption of our politicians; Harry Reid's son is involved with the Chinese company, as I understand the story. He can easily lobby his dad, yet he is not registered as a lobbyist! Could Harry receive some walk-around paper in the deal... could he wet his beak?
All this is legal, and Washington politicians are becoming millionaires at the cost of their office and integrity. That’s about right. The BLM is not a large organization even tho it’s spread all over West of the continental divide. Most offices/outposts have only a dozen or so employees so the bunch at the Bundy had to be pulled in from all over. I noted earlier that’s probly why they wore no hats-—to not give away their home bases. Travel for the mob had to be a major part of the million$ they claim they were spending.
