The women

My wife has a whole closet full of Coldwater Creek...of course, she only pays a buck or two for new outfits (still with tags) at the local thrift store. It pays to be on the main drag between filthy rich SE Massachusetts and their summer covens on the lakes in central Red Hampshire. Jaded (and wealthy) democrat wives dump loads of major labels at this thrift store constantly. Lucky for my wife she is the only size six in the area. :-)
How much did the cost of Obamacare figure into this? With 6000 employees you know it had to be a huge expense
They seemed to jump the shark from conservative well-styled clothes suitable for the office to rather formless and boring stuff that cost more and didn’t last as long about 3 or 4 years ago. My wife used to shop there but hasn’t bought anything there in 4 or 5 years - she said it’s not as well made, doesn’t look as nice and costs more.
I went to the Celtics game last night. Hadn't been in years. We have cheerleaders now who wear bikinis. Besides doing gymnastics, they also do spread-legged, pelvic thrusts to ear-splitting rap music. I said to my friend, "remember when that kind of thing was reserved to 'The Pussycat Lounge?'"
I liked them better than Chicos. I thought the clothes were cute, but they never fit right. I did not have the luxury of an actual store where I might have gotten a good fit. I was ordering from their catalog.
I love their clothes but every item I bought from them either shrank or torqued or fell apart. The clothes were way over priced for the quality, which is why lost me.
Somewhere, Zero laughs. Again.
Another O’bummer jobs creation result!!!
I have a friend that wore mostly Chicos to work. She spent a fortune there on clothes. I wore nicer stuff to work at less cost off sale racks at Nordstroms Rack and Saks Off Fifth.
I’m with you. I would never order out off a catalogue because of fit difficulties then you have to ship it back.
I buy stuff from Nordstroms and Saks without trying it on but they are so simple to return stuff. Nordstroms even let’s you return stuff you buy off the Rack website to their brick and mortar stores.
It’s too bad; they made great ice cream. ;-)
“Even Victorias Secret is cutting back”
How much could they cut back? There’s so little there as it is. (Victoria has no secrets.)
Ditto....ditto......
Have you tried Chicos?

Not to hijack this thread, but what is it with ear-splitting music at sporting events in general? It’s even happening at baseball games. Part of the point of going to a game is so you can talk with your friends, business guests, etc. If every bit of downtime is filled with ear-splitting obnoxiousness, it certainly reduces the desire to go for me.
In my line of work, I need to appear professional, but I am often working in rather rugged environments - like factories or shops. My go-to wardrobe is Coldwater Creek jeans and the no-iron shirts (for warm weather) and sweater sets (for cool weather). I never have to iron and I never have to worry about gapping jeans, etc. I’m going to miss them.
I’ve been shopping the Outlet and the sales forever. I guess its hard to get people to buy at full price in this economy.
I ordered from them when they first started out. Cute unique clothes, beautiful jewelry etc.
Then when the stores opened they mainstreamed their line for the mundane and the fit changed too.
I have shopped at CC...and like your wife found their quality declining in the past few years....
