Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges .. hours after she lost the Southwest light-rail vote, she visited a Somali mall on E. 24th Street in a blue hijab, accompanied by her Somali liaison, Abdirahman Muse. Hodges’ office said she is fulfilling many of the promises she put forth in a 100-day plan for the Somali community, including asking the city attorney for a review of small business regulations.
In an upstairs room, Somali shopkeepers praised her for showing up, and poured out their concerns through translators, telling her they needed more space to park, more opportunities for idle youth, and more Somali police officers.

This is a great example of how our country is going to Hell in a handbasket. Couple it with the report that Hispanics are now the largest ethnic group in California (which, as a result, is now solidly Commie) and you can see how far and how fast we have fallen.

Very puzzling, I read the entire article. It would seem the reporter neglected to write about the Somali shopkeepers asking what they could contribute to society. /s
There's only one ethnicity of shopkeeper who is expected to contribute to society. And it ain't Somali.

I drive cab ...in the last 2 months 3 girl drivers assaulted one raped badly..extended experience ....5 drivers robbed....one with gun to back of head....extended captive experience....held at gun point while other P.O.S. hit him in the face...none caught ...all appeared to be somoli.

We all saw sympathetic news stores about how these young people wanted to work, assimilate into American society and walked a mile or more one way for a minimum wage job.
Once this beachhead was established (and in Minnesota's case, encouraged, by the ELCA, my former denomination), the government played bait and switch and almost all future imports were of the Muslim variety.
It would have been far less disruptive both for their country and ours to support a separatist movement in the south with a functioning government where Muslims were the minority.
