Jimmy Valentine's brother pays tribute to Doctor Raoul, WHCA Dinner 2013
It's that time of year again when the elite of Washington gather to party at the coolest high school prom for grown ups in the country: the White House Correspondents Dinner.
As we have been doing since 1999, FReepers will gather outside to let the media know our opinion of their work.
Yours truly, 2013, photo by Stratman1969
This FReep is your chance to tell reporters, editors and media executives face to face how their reporting hurts or helps the country. You will also have the chance to tell politicians and politicos how their efforts hurt or help the country.

When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Where: Across from the Washington Hilton, the southeast corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
Closest Metro stop: Dupont Circle (north exit) on the Red Line.
Parking: Garage parking off Florida Avenue just east of Connecticut or at the Hilton. Limited street parking available.
Signs: Please keep sign messages focused on the media's liberal bias and the media's protection of the Obama administration. Last year was a cacophony of signage that diluted the message we were trying to communicate. Also, please put FreeRepublic.com in prominent lettering at the bottom of your signs.
After the freep we will head inside the Hilton for our traditional post-freep dinner.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
The White House Correspondents Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
Today the WHCA announced the reporters to be honored at the dinner.

I stand corrected My apologizes to all. Thanks for the correction.
Thanks
Re your link about the afterparty, note who they consider to be the big draws to the party:
“. . . the fete has always stayed close to the Washington Hilton near Dupont Circle to keep celebs exposure to the crowds short and walking in heels to a minimum. . . .[Even with the change of location], a chance to rub elbows with Clooney and Carney guarantees that anyone who gets an invite will make the trek.”
Don’t think I’ll be able to make it but I’ve always admired and enjoyed the creativity of the DC Chapter.
Thanks for the notice. We’ll try to make it this year.
Unfortunately, it looks like I’m going to be tied up that weekend. Wish I could make it.
We’ll miss seeing you. Thanks for letting us know.
Give 'em heck!

nutmeg & zelig
Amen to that, basil.
Gee Jon Stewart, who according to Jay Carney did the toughest Obammy election year interview, receives no recognition.
Got my basic load of truth ready. See you there dudes and dudettes.
I surely do wish I could be there, Kristinn.
Y’all FReepmem good for me and the other FReepers who can’t be there in person.
I look forward to the AAR and photos.
Eagles Up!
There’s some guy making a documentary about the WHCA dinner. So be on the look-out and have fun!
Wish we could meet again!
Just too many miles for a one-day trip.
I hope there will be pictures and after action report!
See you tonight.
Nutmeg and Zelig, hopefully next year.
This dudette can’t be there either, and it bothers me so, as if there was a time to get back at the $&@£%# press! it is now!!
Mr.Exit and daughter are still recovering from surgery, ( and MRSA), so I can’t leave, but I will follow closely. And when you see some of those in the press who got us into this mess, please give it to them for me ——— but laud the good guys and gals!
