Ugh: Failed CNN host suggests people with southern accents are stupid

How lame can you get. Kathleen Park, a WaPo columnist and failed CNN host, criticized and AFP ad because the guy in it had a southern accent. She argued that there are plenty of smart, sophisticated people who are just as confused by the Obamacare law. So, no need to get a stupid guy with a southern accent when a smart sophisticated person will do:

Oh for the day when we will be able to subscribe to only those TV networks that we actually watch, instead of the parasite outlets such as CNN and MSNBC,that are the unwanted garbage included in our satellite and cable contracts! I would pay a premium to be able to be rid of them.

I have to disagree. Although she couched her language a bit, she pretty plainly implied that:

1. There are plenty of smart people (i.e. those without southern accents) who are just as confused as the stupid people (i.e. those with southern accents) are.

2. AFP should have used smart people instead of stupid ones for their ad.
