First, about one million public school students said “no way” to their cafeteria menus after Michelle Obamas anti-obesity campaign led to anger and frustration over food that apparently many American kids didn’t want to stomach.
But for those without other options, all that’s left is the power of social media and cell phone cameras when they simply can’t take another bite:
Even a mom got in on the act…

They can. A lot of the ones who eat the crap and still complain are getting free breakfast and lunch, and they don't want to give up the freebie. They should be complaining to the school.
It doesn't have to be that bad. I was at a school a few years ago that did a nutrition project in partnership with the food provider (the schools don't actually do the cooking anymore, just microwave and serve). With real effort and dialogue with the company, they actually served healthy lunches that the students like! And this was a school where everyone got free lunch.
Some schools prohibit ‘outside’ lunches. Those lunches might be ‘incomplete’ or have too many calories.
I kid you not.
You’re lucky your school still lets you pack your kids lunches.
Mine loaded fast enough but my laptop screen size sure couldn't. Even when I stepped outside for a smoke it was still too large.
We taxpayers pay for the lunches but we have no input for the content. I guess that makes us all ..’chumps’.
Was his name Mr. Hood by any chance? He only ate a lettuce sandwich on gluten bread.

I wish all the kids were as lucky as your kids were.
Is it too much to ask they get a decent lunch?
A lady I work with said several schools around here opted out of the federal school lunch program, don’t know if it’s true but there goes all their federal dollars for the lunch program if it is.
She’s created a ‘food desert’ in our schools. Talk about being ‘food insecure’. Right, UN?
Bears repeating:

Most of this crap ends up in the landfill.
Oh, they’re for real, alright. I pack my kids’ lunches. The kids who play sports after school have been going to the DQ before practice to load up on carbs and protein.
The IRS is going to be busy with all the new audits.
Damn straight they do, because same bleeding heart libtard group would sue them...
Ours used to be pretty tasty. If there were a couple of items on the tray that I didn’t like....the other items were plentiful enough to fill me up as we had a CHOICE.
My old HS lunch lady lives across the street and she used to make all the deserts. They were yummy. She has voiced concern to me on occasion about the quality, now, as she has grandkids in school.
Michelle Obama are you president? Are you my mom? No. So stop telling me how many calories I’m allowed to have at lunch. #IWANTBACON
Couldn’t help but notice the tuna on Friday. Did all schools serve fish on Friday?
I read this article earlier today, and in one of the comments, someone had actually gone to the Sidwell School website and got what was on the menu for something like last Tuesday. NOTHING like this. I would have LOVED to have what was on that menu.
No cold chicken sandwich with a half of an Kiwifruit for the elite...
