Finally, the Disability Industry needs to be crushed. Attorneys today specialize in getting people declared permanently disabled. These people are sucking the Social Security and Medicare funds dry.

The DI Trust Fund will be exhausted in 2016. From the 2013 SS Trustees report:

Social Security’s Disability Insurance (DI) program satisfies neither the Trustees’ long-range test of close actuarial balance nor their short-range test of financial adequacy and faces the most immediate financing shortfall of any of the separate trust funds. DI Trust Fund reserves expressed as a percent of annual cost (the trust fund ratio) declined to 85 percent at the beginning of 2013, and the Trustees project trust fund depletion in 2016, the same year projected in the last Trustees Report. DI cost has exceeded non-interest income since 2005, and the trust fund ratio has declined since peaking in 2003. While legislation is needed to address all of Social Security’s financial imbalances, the need has become most urgent with respect to the program’s DI component. Lawmakers need to act soon to avoid reduced payments to DI beneficiaries three years from now.

It’s hard to label ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, the NY Times and others as “main stream media.” There’s nothing mainstream abut them. I’m using “old media” now, versus “new media” consisting of the Internet and other new media outlets. Others use different names but nothing has caught on that I know of. Lame street media, LSM, was one. Leftist or liberal media are two more.

Disgusting blackout on the Yee story. FOX is spending their Sunday minutes on their never ending Christie campaign.

This decision by the LSM to crucify Christie over some traffic lanes but ignore massive corruption across the expanse of the Demovik Party is PATHETIC.

That said, as I’m sure you know, they are inadvertently doing God’s work for us if they happen to eliminate Christie from the running for 2016.

He is himself a Demovik who believes in the Victory Mosque for NYC, amnesty for illegals, the idiotic “reaching across the aisle” pretense for initiating yet more leftism, etc.

As much as I deplore the idea of Jeb Bush and the Bush Crime Family (Rove) getting that nomination, even they would be a measureable upgrade over Christie.

Hilary will not win and may not win the primary. There is not enough voter fraud available for her and first woman will not carry the water this time.

My dog gets better medical care at one heck of a less cost to me.

Treatment options include putting the animal to sleep--without the consent of the animal.

Medical savings accounts (MSA) with catastrophic insurance is the only viable option.

It's a good viable option, it helps foment consumer driven healthcare, but it's not the only option.

I told you exactly what the problem is...Guaranteed Issue.

As far as the carriers are concerned, in a normal free-market health insurance environment, the average healthy family should still be able to get $250-500 deductible at a reasonable price. It's the unknown-quantity, deathly-ill, already sick, high-claims patients coming into the pool, that screws up the works and causes premiums to skyrocket.

First of all, and coming at it from the provider side, you must be aware of the main culprit contributing to "medical inflation". Hospitals are NOT providing "free healthcare" to anyone who comes through the doors.

They are cruelly jacking up the costs of procedures and care to insured or cash paying patients. The practice is called Cost Shifting and should be banned absolutely.

They need to fund their "generosity" by some other means.

We need to have a lot more private hospitals and practices. There isn't a single hospital in this state that IS NOT a "non-profit"...participating in the "public-private partnership" scam.

They make plenty of "non-profit" money on backs of the paying patients and taxpayers.

My take for today (zero on hand evidence)

Algo’s, data mining techniques, knowledge in Snowden’s brain, is used to sift through the archived metadata to get the dirt on corrupt and blackmailed politicos.

Said dirt is released, and in some cases politicos are arrested.
Note the conga line of democrats revealed this past week.

Once the leverage is exposed/removed, people can no longer be pressured and blackmailed

Bray, thanks for an insightful post. Nauti, you nailed it big time.

As a triage interviewer at a local food/clothing/etc bank, I speak with these folks 8-12 hours a week.

Disability is the new welfare. The instant someone is laid off from their job, they do two things: 1. Apply for unemployment (no complaint there, it is their right), and 2. get a disability lawyer and apply for same.

Disability is a great gig, if you can get it. And based on what I see and hear, if you’ve got a really good laywer, a completely abled person can get disability. Once you’re on it, a monthly check for life.

Nauti, you’re right; this needs to be severely cut back and more closely supervised. Unfortunately, that won’t happen until the RATS are gone.

So I put a period where a comma ought to have been.

I paid almost ten thousand dollars to the feds and almost two thousand to the state of Delaware.

Don’t even ask me about my new quarterly deposits I must make.

Saying you are a slave to the gummit would be racist.

Racist of course means disagreeing with the Democrat Party.

The problem was, and always has been, Politicos forced Hospitals to treat anyone showing up at a medical building. The Politicos never funded the law.
The Hospitals billed those costs to the insurance companies, escalating the cost of everything from pills, to band aids, to syringes.

Slip and fall lawyers, together with bleeding heart judges, piled on to make the problem worse.

The root problem is simple to fix, make people responsible for their own situation, and let charities catch the hard luck cases

The third party payer system was already in a death spiral with skyrocketing premium costs--before King O tenure.

That is true, but it is not the fault of the insurance companies. The first round of destructive public policy enactment in the states came as a spin-off of HilaryCare in 1993.

The liberal Northeastern States were a laboratory of how to destroy insurance companies and how to harm the people.

The control-freak RATs have been on this agenda for decades, that being the total destruction of the medical insurance industry. This is to pave the way for their final solution, Socialized Medicine...their term, "single-payer".

Thank you for adding important info about the pilfering of our tax dollars via the Disability Industry.

If Bridget Kelly is able to get immunity, I don’t see Christie going anywhere. She will make sure of it.

Kelly has 4 kids and it's a safe bet that she has 6 or even 7-figure legal bills at this point. I'll guess that if she had anything to trade, she would. The reason that last week's "internal" report was a smart tactic on Christie's part is not that it exonerates Christie -- it doesn't -- but that by reviewing all of Christie's phone records and personal e-mails, it puts evidence out that there is no e-trail leading through the door to the governor's office.

I don't see Christie at the top of the GOP ticket in 2016 because nominating another liberal Republican would be a recipe for another electoral disaster. So I'm baffled as to why all the media has been on a Christie witch hunt. Unless the media is panicking because they know something about Hillary that's not generally appreciated.

I was struck today with the realization that what I am watching on Fox is today’s equivalent of Marie Antoinette’s ‘ Let them eat cake’ moment.

Angus King placidly lying through his teeth.

The Round table discussion of Bridgegate was a fascinating study of the Hoi-poloi discussing the latest “Piss Christ” exhibit at the latest most fashionable N.Y. hangout for the Elites.

They were enjoying with Bacchanalian delight the travails of one of their own being eaten alive.

It was amazing to see how mush pleasure they derive at being able to “shove it” into the faces of the unwashed masses.

Put another way, could Cuomo or Biden carry anything more than the bluest of blue states? Against a Republican who's "safe" or even one who's "unsafe"?

Yes. Low information voters who want to maintain their benefits will vote for any democrat on the ballot, dead or alive. I must say I wouldn't mind a debate between Biden and Rand Paul, though. Paul seems more comfortable with facing confrontation than Paul Ryan. Christie would be hilarious in a debate against Biden.

Good points about Kelly. You could be right.....we’ll see what happens.

Re. “why go after Christie?” - because the dems see him as a valid opponent. I don’t want him as President because he’s far too liberal for me, but he could be attractive politically to many Republicans and independents...... and even some democrats. I would say the majority of voters today are not well informed; his brashness and take charge attitude can be appealing to many voters.

Thanks! In boarding gate now. Got a good 45 minutes or so before boarding. Starting to read the thread.

Man, TSA sucks, they really do. I’m/we’re treated like serfs, not free men.
