Officials with the Olathe School District issued an apology Friday after only black students were invited on a school outing.
On Wednesday, a letter was sent to Olathe South High School students by Assistant Principal Candy Birch. In the letter, Birch said in her role as activities director that she wanted to give students an additional opportunity to connect with each other.
"So we are planning an outing open to our African-American sophomores and juniors," she wrote.
The event on April 5 would include a visit to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, the American Jazz Museum, lunch at Arthur Bryant's and then a visit to the Nelson-Atkins Art Gallery to see the "History and Hope: Celebrating the Civil Rights Movement" exhibit.

So much for inclusion and diversity.

Whoever was involved with planning this will certainly have to face the repercussions.

I see that various organizations have things such as “Hispanic Affairs Advisory Council” & “Black Affairs Advisory Council”.
Can you imagine the uproar if someone in one of those organizations tried to set up a “Germanic Affairs Advisory Council” or “White Affairs Advisory Council”?
Liberalism has become so twisted it now favors racial segregation as a way to promote racial diversity.
WHite Affairs sounds like formal events with tuxedos...
This is definitely mind boggling.
Not only the premise — but, yes the outcry if it were a ‘White only’ outing.
That said, I can understand some Black students saying
“Why can’t WE have our own trip and why does it always lean towards the Whites?”
I can also understand some White kids (Yes, even today) saying
“My Daddy and Uncle taught me ALL I ‘need to know’ about ‘THEM’ so I don’t want to go on the trip”.
But in this day and time to even be in a ‘position of authority’ to schedule such a trip is completely ‘out of line’.
Granted, if the School District were to offer BOTH trips at the same time, for the same price and the same ‘extras’ you can imagine which students would sign up for which trip.
THEN the SWRHTF.......

Apparently the only people she wanted the students to connect to were people they were already connected to, what a way to insure success, while completely missing the opportunity for a teaching moment, but hey it's a school, we can't have actual education happen there.
Let them go. Let the rest of the kids see what the school is like on that day.

The whole reason for launching multiculturalism was to slow down racial integration which had begun to proceed rapidly (particularly in the southwest) and threatened liberal race posturing.
Why do you think the left got so furious and doubled down on George Zimmerman when his ethnic make up wss shown? They can not afford for Americans to all just be one people.
