Jeb Bush is casting a shadow over the entire field of potential Republican presidential candidates, as the former Florida governor continues to ponder a run in 2016 and keep his political options open.
On one hand, the Bush name, a network of donors and his relatively conservative record as governor make Mr. Bush a force to be reckoned with.
But the Bush name also could work against him. Even his mother waffled on whether the country is ready for another member of her family to run for the White House.

As is the GOPe...not buying any of it. At the risk of offending the Romneybots on FR, I may be sitting out 2016. I'm done with holding my nose for the likes of Bush-1992, Dole-1996, McCain-2008 (I voted for Sarah), and Romney-2012.
I've earned the right to abstain.
with:
Jeb playing the part of Romney
Cruz playing the part of Bachmann
Christie playing the part of Huntsman
Paul playing the part of his father
And Perry playing himself
And of course the GOPe pick Jeb, will probably be the nominee since he is literally (like Romney) the ONLY one who can't win.
Dear GOP,
I WILL NOT COMPLY.
“The GOPe has spoken!”
Anyone out there still think we will see a Republican president in my lifetime?
And if Jeb is the nominee....my presidential vote will be a write in
Not if the Republican Party has anything to say/do about it.
This is totally Unexpected! What will the GOPe think of next?
Certainly not my candidate but Romney was just left of a RINO. Job Bush will not get my vote but certainly one tick better than Romney.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Been through Bush Clinton Bush, got the t shirts
there’s always Megan McCain for VP

I agree. Unfortunately, Paul is going to run square into the powerful, well-oiled and funded GOP-e machine that, unlike the Democrats, is designed to anoint middle-of-the-road establishment players based on when it's their turn. Now it's Jeb's turn. It'll never be Rand Paul's turn.
I don’t think the GOPe realizes that they lost the “hold your nose and vote” folks in the last election.
A nation of 317 million people, and all we can come up with is another Bush???!!!
They keep floating this trial balloon but it just keeps going flat and hitting the ground.
Time to send an email to the author of this propaganda article.
And therein likes the same scenario that has been played out, the last 8 years.
What it comes down to, isn’t who the GOP-E thinks should be up....it’s who WE think should be up. And ultimately, it’s up to US to change the way the system works.
It’s happening in other local elections...the “Tea Party” pick is winning over the GOP-E pick, because people are going out and voting for who they want, not holding their nose for who is less evil.
So, IMO, we have to stop the thinking that the GOP-E pulls all the strings...because WE SURROUND THEM and no they don’t. WE DO!!! We just have to get off our butts and stand together.
The author of the article is smclaughlin@washingtontimes.com . Be sure to let him know how you feel about Jeb and the Bushes.
The tone deafness of the GOPe continues to astound. This guy has no chance in hell in a general. He’ll run to the basement like his brother did once the media onslaught starts.
NO MORE BUSHES!
Bush vs. Clinton, and the low info voter will give us Clinton (not that I’m a fan of Bush by any means). Ugh.
The GOPe and their pathetic mouthpieces are hoping to stick the Republicans with another “moderate” after losing in ‘08 and ‘12. Talk about clueless! They are unfit to govern.
