This would be great if he were taking our conservative message to them.

Instead, Rand Paul is trying to build the political political support needed so that he can defeat conservatism within the GOP and make it a rino/libertarian party, and totally eliminate the Reagan wing.

I think Rush is way off on this one. Not a single one of these kids will ever vote for Paul, or any Republican….and certainly not enough to swing California. This was a one issue hot button…..among a few hundred kids. Totally meaningless….as far as prez politics is concerned. A Fools errand.

It is more than the intelligence community that is drunk with power. And if that is all that it takes to get elected then this nation is in worse trouble than anyone knows.

the Reagan wing.

Did Reagan advocate government spying on Americans? I don’t remember that. I do remember that he opposed national ID cards.

If Paul can manage to shut down the Federal Reserve, that would be a great achievement to restoring limited government in the USA - after that, everything else would secondary.

He’s not even that organized. He does his own thing. He attacks republicans of all types, schmoozed democrats, whatever works for the moment. He’s a senator. What’s he done to eliminate offenses against the fourth amendment in that capacity

Rush said, today, he just gathers up support no principals.

Who could like this guy?

So you don’t think the govt spying on its citizens is a concern conservatives share?

What is Paul’s strategery? Pissing off conservatives?

Hardly a winning strategery, if you ask me.

And the eating of our own begins.

Now Cruz is my first choice, but Rand is hardly a liberal.

The only thing I worry about him is his crazy father.

Does anybody remember a Republican convention where someone took a Ronald Reagan signed and sat on it? He didn’t become the nominee that year. They said he was too radical. And Jimmy Carter became the president. At least that’s the way I see it.

What does that have to do with the threat to conservatism that Paul poses, he seems OK on the spying issue, it is the places where he is liberal that is the problem.
