The rules match the recommendation of a report by an advocacy group that wants to reduce policing of illegal immigration...................This is in full compliance with Obama's ideas about immigration.

“Agents shall not discharge firearms in response to thrown or hurled projectiles… agents should obtain a tactical advantage in these situations, such as seeking cover or distancing themselves,”

Running away scared is a "tactical advantage"?

Madness, just pure madness and evil. Why have a border patrol if they can’t apprehend illegals and are forbidden to obstruct drug smugglers?

Drug smugglers may not have had a lot of fear before, but now, just have our Border Patrol wave them on through. Drug smugglers will only be emboldened by this policy. And the result will be that the problem will get worse and worse.

Bush’s directive to unarmed troops on the border faced with an incursion from Cartel guys was the same —simply run away from your post.

So heighten the use of force against citizens, and reduce the use of force against non citizens. Whose side is OUR government on? We have a 5th column in our midst.

These are the actions of a government that has been overtaken in a bloodless coup and is now acting as the enemy of the USA. These are ROIs that tell agents to do nothing to impede the invasion and they will get agents killed much like the restrictive ROIs in Afghanistan.

Might as well disarm the border patrol agent and give them bottles of water to hand out to illegals along with a map to all the liberal states who will welcome them with freebees.

Strange, the official US Border patrol govt website says just the opposite- viz

. On May 28, 1924, Congress passed the Labor Appropriation Act of 1924,
officially establishing the U.S. Border Patrol for the purpose of securing
the borders between inspection stations. In 1925 its duties were expanded to pat
.Border Patrol Role Expands
Legislation in 1952 codified and carried forward the essential elements of the 1917 and 1924 acts. The same year, Border Patrol agents were first permitted to board and search a conveyance for illegal immigrants anywhere in the United States. For the first time, illegal entrants traveling within the country were subject to arrest.
...In 1952, the government airlifted 52,000 illegal immigrants back to the Mexican interior.

...Throughout the early 1950s, a special taskforce of 800 Border Patrol agents was assigned by the United States Attorney General to round up and ship home thousands of illegal immigrants in southern California.

...Early 1960,... The Border Patrol assisted other agencies in intercepting illegal drugs from Mexico.

Today’s Border Patrol
The 1980s and 1990s saw a tremendous increase of illegal migration to America. The Border Patrol responded with increases in manpower and the implementation of modern technology. Infrared night-vision scopes, seismic sensors, and a modern computer processing system helped the Patrol locate, apprehend, and process those crossing into the U.S. illegally.

...The U.S. Border Patrol continues its efforts to control our nation’s borders”

Canada and the US used to have 'the longest undefended border in the world'. Not any more, I guess. Sounds like there is more defence of the northern border than ther southern border. Brings new meaning to Estados Unidos de América Hola gringos!

Well if they can’t shoot at them, they can’t shoot at us.

Better get some County Mounties and State Patrol down there. Looks like a good application for all those wild-ass SWAT teams.

They got armored personell carriers, tanks....BLACK HELICOPTERS!
