Boston ^ | 3/1/14 | Zimmerman

Posted on 03/01/2014 4:03:53 PM PST by mgist

The Boston Globe reported earlier today that Mayor Walsh and parade organizers have negotiated a deal that would allow for LGBT advocacy group MassEquality to march in the parade, however there are conditions attached. Marchers from the group would not be permitted to wear T-shirts or hold signs that include the word gay or refer to sexual orientation.

Everybody needs a good laugh. Instead of getting angry at them just laugh loudly when you see them in drag or acting “fabulous” and point your finger at them. They seem to like attention, right?

Why is Irish ‘pride’ more acceptable than gay ‘pride’- or hispanic ‘pride’ with something like cinco de mayo?

Just a thought for believers who actually care about parades and man made holy days...

Be ‘proud’ people want to share in your celebration of ‘you’ or ‘us’.....

I am sure homosexuals have always marched in the parade. The difference is, before they were marching because they’re Irish. Now, they’re marching because they’re gay. I think fundamental Christian adults should demand to march in Gay Pride parades carrying signs with relevant scripture.

Maybe they can let Whitey out to march in this one, you know for the Choctaw Kid, Sal Mineo, and his friends in P Town.

Real question: why were Irish depicted as ape-faced?

Yes, the Fighting Leprechaun of Notre Dame has a certain look, but was this all nothing but anti-Irish prejudice?

I have this mental image of Andy Sullivan marching in this, spinning his...oh, man, my eyes are burning at the mere thought of that. And by that I mean smoking, bubbling, melting and running down my face.

I agree, it irritates me to no end why people figure that being so snide and disrepectful makes them so admirable? People would be fine with anyone regardless of what they do in private, so long as said person has some courtesy. If anything, the whole pride thing has made the whole alternate sexuality thing more repulsive to me than anything else.

Satan is among the most miserable in existence, and as the old saying goes, misery loves company.

As far as dope goes, there’s a lot of ways to take it without smoke, that work. Even if you don’t smoke it at all, you can make twine with it. Then tobacco, well, here’s where policy doesn’t make sense. Nicotine solution makes for a good natural, plant-derived pesticide, that is good, with a few exceptions at actually keeping those critters off the plants, yet they have thrown out nicotine as a pesticide. Again, most products out there have good and bad uses, it’s all up to the person to make honest, wise, choices about how to properly use them.

But don’t rely on the propagandists to tell you that there is actually more uses out there than simply smoking either tobacco and/or hemp.

It’s an old Thomas Nast St Patrick’s day cartoon.

I also have an old 1880s working man’s cartoon of inclusiveness showing the politicians kicking out the hard working Chinese immigrants while allowing the drunk Irishman in.

I love Nast.

I’m Irish—but considering the legacy of the Irish in American politics (and the Church), the Kennedys, Biden, Moynihan, and all the rest of the corrupt, crooked, thieving, baby-murdering shanty Irish in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, Nast’s portrayals reflect my feelings very well.

...and then there is that very stark fact that any “Saint” inclusive of “Saint Patrick” would not be celebrating their life choices. So in that is the quandary...they are marching in a parade in honor of a Saint that would not have supported their life choices. HMMMM? Others in this parade who do honor the ‘Saint’ should point that out.
