Sean Hannity Leaves Big Tip Following State of the Union Get-Together

Sean Hannity was among a group dining at Ruth’s Chris in Washington, D.C. following the State of the Union last month. The diners, which included “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson, CNN’s Newt Gingrich, and Sen. Ted Cruz, racked up a $5,000 bill.

TMZ reported the “Duck Dynasty” star picked up the bill and gave the wait staff a 100% tip. But sources tell TVNewser, it was actually Hannity who paid the tab and added the $5,000 tip. Hannity knows from service industry work: during college he worked as a dishwasher, bartender and short order cook.

We try to hand the signed slip and the tip directly to the waiter. Sometimes have to wait, but we like eye contact and a thankyou at our favorite eateries.

when you pay the tab by credit card and pay the tip with cash, the waiter/waitress is likely to scribble some kind of ethnic slur on the tip line of the credit card slip

On occasion, when for some reason I leave a cash tip, I boldly write the words "CASH" on the tip line.

You're so right, Yaelle. Hannity does get put down here a lot....mostly for his sometimes-aggravating style. He often irritates the hell out of me, too, with his repetitive listing....i,e, "X% unemployed", X trillion in debt", "X million on food stamps", on and on. One of the first things I learned both in speaking and in journalism classes was "lists are your enemies".

I've just learned to close my ears when he starts in on these tangents.

However, in my opinion, Sean has more political GUTS than the whole Fox evening lineup combined. He brings up issues that others, including a lot of conservative radio hosts, WON'T TOUCH WITH A TEN-FOOT POLE.

THIS is what's important to me.

He even flew south a while back to personally check out porous southern states' border spots where the illegals cross over so that he could report back to us with some authority.

And, just as an aside, Hannity has always impressed me with having a big heart and a compassionate wallet when it comes to working stiffs and the needy.

I just loved it a couple months ago when he took off on some slimy NY congressman guest, roaring at him over and over again, "you're a LIAR", "you're a LIAR", then abruptly closing down the segment on the creep. I got rid of 100 frustrations during those few minutes of watching that scene!

I hope Sean runs for senator some day....he even looks like one now, tall, nice-looking face, strong features, with just the right touch of grey in the sideburns and temples, LOL.

20 years ago we had dinner at Ruth’s Chris. 6 adults and 2 kids. Our bill tip and all was $1400. We were invited to dinner by my brother’s dad and wife who had tons of money but when the bill came it sat in the middle of the table until hubby picked it up and used our Amex to pay for it. That is why I remember it so well. lol

I agree with you. Sean “goes there” when some of the highest and mightiest don’t. Sean would have definitely been among the rag tag revolutionaries who got us freedom under Washington. Some of the others would not have left their feather beds. Sean’s a bulldog hockey player and I thank Gd he is on our side.

And, to all those who love echo chambers, yes men, and preaching to the choir, SEAN AFFECTS THE LOW INFO VOTERS. For the better. Who cares if the libs hate him?
