A few years after Wendy Davis claimed in court that she had suffered damage to her mental health, a Texas court put Davis under a temporary restraining order prohibiting her from using drugs or alcohol within twenty-four hours of coming into contact with her children.
Folks, from here on out, the only card left for Wendy Davis to play is victim

“I think that they have web sites for this sort of thing these days. Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babes.”

I don’t think that we should be taking unkind shots (even though they may not be intended that way) against this husband. He sounds like he is a stand up guy who was very decent in his treatment of his then wife and supported her and her aspirations as well as he could. I suspect he was very much in love with her—even though that marriage may have been a “one-way street”.
Documents Show A Texas Court Ordered Wendy Davis to Stay Away From Drugs and Alcohol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, but where are the documents ordering her to stay away from her own two children?
Oh. That’s right. She VOLUNTARILY stayed away after her divorces.
Thanks. I didn’t go to the link but I have now and see it there.
The fact that this demonic lunatic is even in the conversation in Texas is horrifying.
True. But Texans do like nominating idiot woman. Remember Carol Keeton McLellan Rylander Strayhorn Whatever? And before that was Ma Richards. Not to mention a bull dyke as Houston Mayor.
we can all giggle at this, but it ain’t over till it’s over. The faction that wants her in power don’t give a tinker’s damn about any of this, in fact it’s probably being celebrated.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
The Democrats would do well to select a moderate Hispanic businessman who could pull 40-45% of the governor's vote, solidifying their hold on this growing voting bloc and protecting legislative and U.S. House seats.
Wendy Davis is a special kind of baby killer.
I believe her husband requested such an order, then withdrew the request before the judge ruled on it.
Did you even bother to read this article?
Nope. Why break an FR tradition?
I suspect that you are quite right. He was probably sucked in by a scheming and manipulative personality. Had he known what her true motives were, he may have walked away.
She is a transplant to Texas. I just po'ed some girl scouts and their moms. They came to the door selling cookies. I told them that if abortion Barbie was their woman of the year, they saw my last dollar last year.
Someone who claims to be in a position to know claims exactly this in the comments to the original Dallas Morning News article. I’m sorry I can’t tell you how far down they are, thanks to the “more comments” button, but the person posts twice in a row; adding information to his first post.
It seems that there is another woman intending to run for governor (also posted in the comments several times). I’m not clear if she is a democrat or what. And someone, somewhere, mentioned a run off.
The reporter/ author of the original article has stated, adamantly, that he has had no contact with Attorney General Abbott- but that won’t stop the accusations from the left.
Here’s a different POV on the subject of temporary restraining orders in TX custody disputes.
This guy obviously has as much of an axe to grind as the author of the article at the head of this thread.
But according to this site, these orders are routine in such cases, and do not imply an accusation of misbehavior, much less that the judge has seen evidence of such. This site does not appear to be political in orientation.
http://dick-price.blogspot.com/2010/07/temporary-restraining-order-tro.html
“In some counties in Texas, there’s an automatic order that goes into effect immediately against both parties (it’s made “mutual”), to preserve the status quo.”
“Sometimes parties served with a TRO are worried that they have been accused of a wide range of bad acts. That’s not the case. A TRO is just an example of a fairly common approach in the law that says “Don’t do these things”, without saying “I think you did these things in the past”. TROs are routine and courts don’t put any significance on them as far as proof, or even accusations, of past acts.”
I have no intention of defending Ms. Davis or her possible past misbehavior. I would, however, like to make sure that issuance of such an order is indeed evidence of such misbehavior before jumping on the bandwagon.
Not being a TX divorce attorney, I have no competence to make such a determination, but then I suspect you don’t either.
But the real question for today is...
how many dates has she had with BJ Clinton?
You weren't worried about "jumping on the bandwagon before". You just claimed the TRO was bogus. Pointing out your error, now you're worried about whether the TRO was worthy or not.
You're a piece of work.
LOL good for you! You just gave me another reply in the list I’m compiling for when they come to my door. I won’t be mean, because the little girls aren’t to blame (even though unfortunately too many of them will become the future harpies who support baby murder, etc), but I will give a reply that will give them and their parent something to think about, whether they like it or not. I didn’t ask them to come to my house.
Thanks.
Even if they are the result of an accusation. There is zero requirement that they be substantiated in any way, nor does the accused party even have to be present at the "hearing". This entire section of the legal system is filled with evil and injustice.
