Looks like Winter is going to do what it does best, act like winter. With Super Bowl XLVIII being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jerseys Meadowlands. Being a Viking fan, I will enjoy the game in the comfort of my living room. However, for the elite that will be at the game while listening to an opera singer during half time, it could be a bit miserable.
Any predictions as to who will come out on top? You would think that the weather will favor Denver, but Payton has never done very well in cold weather. So if I get my wish and the storm of the century hits during the game, will Seattle win, or will Payton win his second ring?
Keep in mind that the last time a team with a great defense played in the Superbowl, was when New Orleans took out their third QB. They ended both Warner and Favre's careers, while forcing Payton to get a few surgeries on their way to winning their first Super Bowl.
I'll be cheering for Payton and the Broncos, but as long as it snows, and snows a lot, I'll be happy.
Any predictions?
Global warming!
Al Gore tried to warn us but we didn’t listen
If only we invested in carbon credits it might be warmer now.
isn't it nice to be so logic-free that you don't have to understand that a theory has to be falsifiable in order to be "proven"?
If it looks like a cold game day, they just need to put Robert Sherman out there before the game for a rant, and everything will heat up.
LoL....
Seahawks over Broncos 56 - 8. That is all.
Should just postpone it.
That’s Richard Sherman, son. Mr. Richard Sherman to you :>)
What could go wrong with that?
Interesting. I never even considered that angle. So, the owner of the Seattle Seahawks is one of the biggest supporters of Global Warming, does that mean they will melt if it snows on them?
If so, then Denver would win by default. Right?
Accuweather says as follows. Obviously a ways off...
Sun
Feb 2
Clouds, snow showers possible Hi 39° Lo 28°
They have contingency plans for that.
Frigid Fumbleball Fever
Ohh, no, no, no. That would be blasphemy! Cancel a football game because of snow? I think Vince Lombardi would turn over in his grave if they did that.
Its been snowing here (Maryland EST) since 9 or 10 am but its been pretty light snow for the most part, plus it was relatively warm, above 32 deg F, last night.
Now it is colder about 20 F.
I think the news stations weather kept most drivers home which is good.
I heard the Farmers’ Almanac report a few months ago, and predicted this would be the first Superbowl to get snowed out or postponed. Why are they holding it in a open-air Yankee stadium anyway?
Al Gore must be the Half-Wit Entertainment this year.
If it is simply cold, Denver. If it is cold and snow, Seattle.
An opera singer during half time? I thought The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bruno Mars were performing during halftime. ...maybe I have the wrong info....
or I missed a joke somewhere...it’s been known to happen
And his estate should demand that his name be removed from the Trophy.
