Looks like Winter is going to do what it does best, act like winter. With Super Bowl XLVIII being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jerseys Meadowlands. Being a Viking fan, I will enjoy the game in the comfort of my living room. However, for the elite that will be at the game while listening to an opera singer during half time, it could be a bit miserable.
Any predictions as to who will come out on top? You would think that the weather will favor Denver, but Payton has never done very well in cold weather. So if I get my wish and the storm of the century hits during the game, will Seattle win, or will Payton win his second ring?
Keep in mind that the last time a team with a great defense played in the Superbowl, was when New Orleans took out their third QB. They ended both Warner and Favre's careers, while forcing Payton to get a few surgeries on their way to winning their first Super Bowl.
“I hope whoever sings wont make it the Star Mangled Banner. Singers feel they want to make it unrecognizable. This crap should not be allowed for the National Anthem.
I couldn’t agree more!
If the rendition of the ‘Banner’ is poorly done and if the so-called ‘singer’ is female I say, “Go back to hookin’ on the corner!” If the so-called ‘singer’ is male I say, “Go back to shinin’ shoes in the bus station!”
My wife busts out laughing every time I say those things. ;-)
The “WayneS Almanac” predicts 70 degrees and comfortably dry weather for the Super Bowl, with plenty of good beer and pretzels available, and an excellent view of the game from every seat...
...in my living room.
I saw a news report this morning which claimed that the commissioner is going to sit outside, “with the fans”.
Outside? With the fans?
If anyone believes that, I have a 600-foot-tall Needle in Seattle that’s looking for a buyer...cheap.
Hey, I’m just repeating what I heard on the news this morning.
I never said I believe it’s going to happen.
Personally, if the weather is as bad as is being predicted, I think Mr. Goodell will spend a little time in the stands for a “photo op”, so that everyone can see him sitting outside in the elements in his fur hat and great coat, but that after 5 minutes or so he’ll suddenly realize he has urgent “commissioner’s business” to attend to in his nice warm luxury sky box.
Oh Please, Oh Please....Make it so.
It was all downhill from there for the Lions.
"What the Hell is going on out here?"
I know that there a few places name after Kosciusko, but not specifically that island. From pictures I saw on the web, it reminds me a lot of the undeveloped portions of Vancouver Island (also very beautiful).
The one with the mouth.
Advantage: Denver.
‘Sitting outside with the fans’, in this case, might mean sitting outside directly down wind from the big heater fans used to keep the bench players from freezing while waiting for their never coming chance to play.
With any luck, the entire stadium will freeze before half-time.
Lol
They’ll find Bigfoot first,,,, lol
Its all entertainemnt, and not much difference imho . . .
First off, I never claimed we lost because of the way they ended Favre’s career. I agree that as usual he tried to make take it all on his shoulders and threw the int. I think that if he was patient we would have beaten the saints.
Anyway, do you claim the saints did not have orders from their D coach to take out the QBs? After all, that is why he got banished from the NFL forever. His players admitted it to the independent investigators.
(I had to do it!)
