Social Conservatives are the only thing which can save this country. They may not do so but if they don’t the country is gone.

What’s the point if the elected politicians are all Liberals? I’ll vote for social Conservatives and if Liberals take office, I won’t even notice — it will just be more of the same.

Since 1988 (which was really a referendum on a third term for Ronald Reagan), the GOP has run candidates in exactly the mold which Neil recommends. We managed two win two of those six elections just barely.

Boortz is under the impression that conservatism can exist without traditional morality.

One reason I have trouble taking Hannity seriously is that he constantly refers to this smarmy rodent as his, “good buddy,” and occasionally gives him the forum to air his beliefs...

Just more reason to lose respect for Hannity. Why on earth would any sane talk show host who feigns conservatism ask Boortz to sub?

– because they simply cannot resist the urge, the impulse to get into this social conservatism.” – Neal Boortz

_________________________

Mr. Boortz has it quite backwards here, his premise is entirely wrong. Its the Democrats who bring up the social issues- abortion and the “war on woman”, gun control and sandy hook, homosexual marriage.

The only question is what the Republicans should do as far as a response.

Mr. Romney basically didn’t have a response and ignored the social issues that the Democrats brought up in 2012.

Boortz is an idiot, as are all the wealthy tax-averse moderates who have a litmus test based on social issues. Social conservatism is why lower middle class and working class conservatives vote Republican, instead of voting Democrat to get the government to give them a bigger slice of the pie. Thou shalt not steal, even if the government does it for you. Without social conservatism to provide a moral foundation, they are Democratic voters.

Also at link : "Boortz pointed to the race for the seat currently occupied by outgoing Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA). He noted that it could be a loss for the GOP should they nominate Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) in a contest that might have Michelle Nunn, daughter of former longtime Sen. Sam Nunn (D-GA), as the Democratic opponent."

I am not familiar with this race details.

The GOP establishment is so lost that that they are starting to believe their own focused polls - even when they are questionable!

I’m sorry to say that these idiots are blind to what is going on in our society and seem to have no real idea about how to actually change. They continue to be power brokers without conscience, much to the people’s dismay! Conservatism seems to be not understandable to them as is limited government. So, yes we seem to be doomed no matter who wins!

Even if the Republicans win the Senate and the House, little will change - that is the problem facing America! We have a political class in Washington that cares not about the Country but about how they can stay in office.

Government by the people has been lost! Welcome to the new World Order!

There’s KIND of a point here. They need to be more go and less show, in some cases. The social conservatives that are actually personally sincere are far less of an obstacle than those who talk social conservative guff and meanwhile live like hell. That’s why Ronald Reagan was so special, and why Sarah Palin was. These folks outclassed 99% of their colleagues. (Poor John McCain, he was a shell.)

Hypocrisy, thy name is human, not just Democrat. Jettison the pride, take up the love (of the Lord, and then to share that love around) and you will succeed greatly.

boortz is a lib-er-tarian, which means he wants to keep his money and doesn't care if the school principal is sodomizing the first graders, the second graders are doing coke and billy and tommy and the dog are having sex on the front lawn.

boortz is a moral-less slime bucket and justifies any coarse behavior with the "I'm a libertarian" meme.
