Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments aren't the only part of his interview with GQ causing controversy.
The 67-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star was suspended by A&E Wednesday for calling homosexuality sinful and putting gay people in same category as terrorists. While those quotes quickly went viral, it wasn't his only brow-raising statement in the interview; he also implied that African Americans were happier living under Jim Crow laws.

What a perfect time to celebrate the holidays.
You know, it would be a good idea if those protesting
these liberal speakers and their agenda carried a duck
call and blew it whenever the liberals start spewing
their trash.
Can’t let anyone know the truth that people who work for a living are happier than people who sit on their asses and draw welfare.
The lying left has started the spin machine.
Blacks and f*gs need to grow a friggin’ backbone and stop whining like little bitches!!!
This article from Yahoo - guess they didn’t get the outrage they expected from the homophobe article so now he’s racist too!!
"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once," the reality star said of growing up in pre-Civil-Rights-era Louisiana. "Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field ... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people' not a word!" Robertson continued, "Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
Now, for someone to be offended by that statement they have to be a genuine, 100%, USDA certified @sshole.
And the media, once again, demonstrate that they are @sshole central, no wonder they love gays soooooo much.
Telling the truth to a liberal is like holding up a crucifix to a vampire.
I was surprised by the comments at the end of the article. Seems like no one is offended. A gay guy wrote that he believes Robertson has the right to say anything he wants.
The NAACP is a commie outfit. And that's not just over-the-top, generalized rhetoric.
I'm a former member.
Back in the 1960's when I was a naive young college student from up north going to school in Dixie and thinking that the NAACP was worthwhile, I joined and participated. That was before the term "white guilt" became widespread but it was my affliction.
Wisdom came slowly to me but eventually I saw the light and transferred to a Conservative Christian college. I then came to realize that the NAACP was a fatally-flawed outfit, steeped in Marxism and Communist group-think. It's part of their history since the founding by W.E.B. Du Bois and the other anti-American subversives of 1909's Niagara Movement. Yes, some of those were Republicans -- in the RINO sense of the word. And founder Du Bois lived the final days of his miserable life Africa since his American passport had been revoked for his anti-American activities as publicized by Senator Joseph McCarthy.
Having been a card-carrying member of that organization and having attended meetings, I was in the belly of the beast. Based upon my experience, the NAACP was then and remains today, at best, a fraud. At worst, it's a racist, subversive organization. I regret now that they got a penny of my money. Nevertheless, it was a good learning experience to observe firsthand what it was all about.
If he did, it wasn't because of the A&E "controversy".
While controversy swirled around Phil Robertson Wednesday evening, the "Duck Dynasty" patriarch was at his longtime church, praying for a young woman who suffers from cancer, the TV star's pastor told CNN in an exclusive interview.
"Phil led us in prayer," said Mike Kellett, senior pastor of White's Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana. "There were greater things on our minds than the firestorm of controversy about this article."
A&E will cease to exist as a network. Sponsors will not want to offent the .01% against the 99.9% of the nation.
This is just the homosexuals trying to equate skin color with a selected behavior.
“were happier living under Jim Crow laws.”
Morgan Freedman did a movie and said exactly this - he said at least under those laws they knew a black man owned the store and was making it as opposed to now where its Asians.
BTW did anyone even know GQ was still around?
I thought it had died in an ignoble death of homosexualcentric advertising.
This phony-baloney outrage only serves to HELP us. Not hurt us.
To take such a statement and try pathetically and lamely to gin that up into RACISM is the sort of schtick that Al Shaprton and MSNBC might try.
“They’re singing and happy.”
Just a-singin and happy in them cotton fields. Doesn’t say if they were a-dancin, too. Doesn’t know when to shut up, does he?
*smiles*........you could start a trend........LOL
Brilliant idea!
Wonderful post. And Democrats are more than happy to do Satan’s bidding by helping to fan the flames of hate against the show.
You and I both know the Rats have just been waiting on a reason to get the show off the air.
