Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.), whose salary is $193,400 a year, said he has purchased a health care plan through the D.C. Obamacare exchange and that he is accepting the federal subsidy that can run up up to $11,378 per year for a member of Congress to purchase a plan on that exchange.
Im just like 150 million other people in America, Reid said. My employer helps me pay for my health care.

dirtbag
He’s a scrot.
That would be a promotion. He is smegma.
Typical elite mentality. American socialists think that the bad socialist regimes of the past were just anomalies, that they can build a proper socialist system. No, the elite will rule over them, “What’s for me is not for thee.” Do they not see the irony in their leaders espousing people “paying their fair share,” espousing the government to create equality, and then taking subsidies? Meanwhile, the healthcare costs of many of the common people with lower salaries have increased, and they don’t get subsidies.
The people who PAY his benefits are TAXPAYERS. He’s sniffing good glue.
Harry Reid is 74 years old.
Why is he not on Medicare?
Or, if he’s spent his whole working life in government, shouldn’t he be eligible for old age health care benefits through his government retirement plan?
So, taxpayers are his employer?
He sure doesn’t behave like that’s the case.
Harry Reid has no problem reducing the pay of military vets who’s average retirement salary is less than $12,000 a year. He makes over $175,000 a year and needs a subsidy for his medical care? What a number one a$$hole! In addition, Reid wants to eliminate money and care for disabled American vets. He has no shame.
His employer-Harrah’s?
I'd say the system is already in the hole.
And to think that we're paying for him to live at the Ritz. I'm sure the Founders would approve of what DC has become.
He must be indigent.

I am creating a thread for this....let folks know this information.
Reid is “accepting the federal subsidy that can run up up to $11,378 per year for a member of Congress....”
Making the salary he does, he doe NOT NEED to be subsidized and should be made to return the money along with all the other crooks taking from the gubmint bucket. Crooked bastard!
In addition, he no doubt put some zero-pay flunky intern down in front of a computer for 3 or 4 days to finally get his application filled out and submitted. “I have people for that” — unlike the rest of us.
maybe you don’t have to get on Medicare until you officially retire.
It is a sickening thing to see ,, the unraveling of a once mighty institution.. now under maniacal control.
