Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo
Brooklyn Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo blamed the recent knockout game attacks in her district on the growth and succsess of the Jewish Community. In a Facebook post she says, Many of her black constituents told her they feel threatened by the growth of the neighborhoods Jewish community.
DNA Info reported:
The alleged knockout attacks on Jewish residents of Crown Heights may stem from ongoing racial tension between the neighborhoods black and Jewish communities, a newly-elected Brooklyn politician said.
Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo, who was elected to represent Crown Heights starting in January, released an open letter Tuesday saying that many of her black constituents told her they feel threatened by the growth of the neighborhoods Jewish community and she fears the tension could be spiking the recent violence.
Many African American/Caribbean residents expressed a genuine concern that as the Jewish community continues to grow, they would be pushed out by their Jewish landlords or by Jewish families looking to purchase homes, Cumbo wrote in the 1,200-word letter, which was emailed to supporters and posted on her Facebook page.
I respect and appreciate the Jewish communitys family values and unity that has led to strong political, economic and cultural gains. While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success.
She added that these sentiments among black Crown Heights residents offer possible insight as to how young African American/Caribbean teens could conceivably commit a hate crime against a community that they know very little about.
Thats it. Its the Jews fault.
What is it with blacks hating Jews so much?
Jews were slaves who made it and make them look bad? Is that it?
Or is it old-style Protestant/Lutheran anti-Semitism?
What's the difference between modern day Democrats and 1930’s Nazis?
Answer: It's a trick question.
There is no way to tell
She apparently ascribes to the old adage, "If you can't join them, beat them".
“I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense
that Jewish success is not also their success. “
Translation: HOW DARE YOU BE MORE COMPETENT THAN OTHER PEOPLE!!!!
Basic Haves vs The Have nots....................
So her constituents are racists. Who woulda thunk it.
Not as many Hugo Boss designed suits?
They hate the Jews because they’re successful on their own and don’t depend on government handouts. They’re saying that getting rid of the Jews won’t embarrass them.
Maybe if the “Community Leaders / Community Agitators” in the black community could objectively LOOK and SEE and COMPREHEND what makes other minority groups successful, maybe they could learn a thing or two by applying some of those lessons to their own communities....
Nah... Much easier to just use the age old adage of Blaming the Jews....
Introspection is not something one finds in Liberal circles. It is dangerous because it might lead to taking responsibility for one’s actions.
There ain’t that many black Lutherans, unless you’re expanding the protestant thing to Baptist, AME, COGIC and etc...
And how many Crown Heights Jews voted for this Democrat?
Every single one? Do I win a prize?
The colors in that picture remind me of the SIEU colors. I wonder if they were sponsoring that march?
*Not as many Hugo Boss designed suits?*
More democrats study the teachings of Goebbels, I suspect. Especially Jay Carney!
So she’s saying this is racially motivated by her race against the Jews? That her constituents are racially motivated by hatred of the Jews?/ That’s what I read
Proximity, in this case. Statistically, blacks are incredibly violent toward one another. Not so much with Inuits.
Next, the councilwoman will likely propose building a wall around the Jewish communities...
