During remarks on immigration, President Obama was confronted onstage by a protester calling on him to use executive power to bypass Congress on the issue.
The protester, standing behind the president during a speech in San Francisco, was joined by others who began to chant Stop deportation! If, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing them through Congress, I would do so, President Obama responded. But were also a nation of laws.
During his remarks, the president praised supporters of the Senate bill, including activists fasting on the National Mall, and encouraged House Speaker John Boehner, whom he said is sincere in wanting to pass immigration reform, to follow their lead.
The president is on a West Coast fundraising swing.

The man openly admits his desire to be our new King George.
The media openly admit to aiding in making it happen.
Half the population openly admit their willingness to be loyal subjects to a benevolent monarch.
“I smell a plant. It looked to me this all was staged.”
Obama will spend the next 9 months beating up on the Republican House demanding his amnesty bill be passed. It the Republicans don’t cave, in September or October, just prior to the election he will grant amnesty via executive order. This action will rally the progressive base and result in significant voter fraud as illegals rush to the polls for same day registration (where allowed).
He had the House and Senate the first two years. Why was not amnesty granted then?
That would be Lee?
I recall him saying just such a thing about the Dream Act.
He then ordered it into existence by Executive Order.
This will repeat.
I wouldn't doubt it.
This story is insane. He already stopped millions of deportations through Executive Order months and months ago.
“Obama: If I Could Bypass Congress, I Would Do So”.......
He has no problem doing whatever he damn well pleases and Congress is just one of his “bumps in the road”. It is well past time that odumbo be removed, permanently. We do not need a dictator in this country and he certainly fits that descrpition.
Of course it was a plant.
The Secret Service does not allow anyone to get behind the Presidents back unless they know all about them.
...he’s already bypassed Congress on immigration and a host of other issues...
I’m surprised the guy didn’t faint . . . just sayin’
Probably Lee Harvey Oswald.
It would be indeed. . . . . .
“If I Could Bypass Congress on Immigration, I Would Do So”
The words of a wannabe two bit tin horn dictator. For a
pres—ent (no ID) to say this should be an impeachable
offense. Obama is a traitor and is hell bent on
destroying this country.
If we were a real nation of laws, he would've been taken away in chains and he and his family would've been deported. Wasn't Obama abetting criminal behavior by not doing that?
“Its the same tactic that Emporer Palpatine used to gain supreme power over the senate, he reluctantly accepted this great responsibilty... its the same scene played out at this staged Nobama event.”
Funny and I hate to say it on this forum but that’s exactly
what Alex Jones said a couple of years ago.
“Which is exactly why the founding fathers put in place the series of checks and balances, and why we have the 2nd amendment for when all else fails.”
Bad news, the senate just took out one of those checks and
they are making it harder to get the ammo needed for the
eventual 2nd amendment enforcement.
“Lyin King”
Good one. First time I heard it.
Sure was. Answering a non-citizen criminal invader who is violating our laws, and leeching off of OUR HARD WORK. Our “President” has the gall to answer this wet clothes leech. So the 11 million or so plus of illegal scum taking our money will hear this and shill for Obama.
