New York City police authorities are investigating a series of unprovoked physical attacks in public places on people who are Jewish, in the form of what is called "the knockout game."
The way the game is played, one of a number of young blacks decides to show that he can knock down some stranger on the streets, preferably with one punch, as they pass by. Often some other member of the group records the event, so that a video of that "achievement" is put on the Internet, to be celebrated.
The New York authorities describe a recent series of such attacks and, because Jews have been singled out in these attacks, are considering prosecuting these assaults as "hate crimes."
Many aspects of these crimes are extremely painful to think about, including the fact that responsible authorities in New York seem to have been caught by surprise, even though this "knockout game" has been played for years by young black gangs in other cities and other states, against people besides Jews — the victims being either whites in general or people of Asian ancestry.
Attacks of this sort have been rampant in St. Louis. But they have also occurred in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and elsewhere. In Illinois the game has often been called "Polar Bear Hunting" by the young thugs, presumably because the targets are white.
The main reason for many people's surprise is that the mainstream media have usually suppressed news about the "knockout game" or about other and larger forms of similar orchestrated racial violence in dozens of cities in every region of the country...

The abject hatred of gays by the black community is massive. I’ve seen very few whites who hate gays -disapprove of the lifestyle, oppose the agenda and despise the tactics yes ... but not hate on a random level.
Having one core constituency group launching physical attacks on another one isn’t good for Dem coalition politics. And the Dem power elite are quickly running out of tools with which to suppress or distract on the matter.
DC Mayor Gray quickly came our in favor of gay marriage after a particulay brutal attack by black youths on a male gay couple in Adams Morgan. But that’s something that can only be done once, to kick the can down the road aways. The Dema are running out of options fast ...

Good point. The thugs will be transformed into good teens who were just trying to escort an old lady across the street when they were attacked by a racist gun nut.
I would be curious to know what the comments are like after Sowell’s column in various newspapers. Wonder how many liberals will say Sowell is trying to start a race war?
No one will do anything about this until it happens to a relative of a “VIP”. Even then, it wil be urged to act with caution.

Situational awareness is very important when walking alone in a strange neighborhood, or even a familiar one.
The role of the police is to protect and serve the government. Dealing with organized bands of thugs doesn't produce any revenue.

One of my top unproven theorys is that all this inner city violence is the result of drug money going to cops and politicians so they won’t crack down on gangs.
I base this on growing up in a city neighborhood and corruption being common knowledge. But it’s the subject of most gangster movies, they and ways have officials on the take.
There were several of us that were “shocked” a couple of weeks ago when Sowell openly wrote about the ongoing black on white race war.
Unfortunately, by the time for re-election (or not) comes, the muggings will be the norm and the low information voter will have forgoten that the results of (last) election were the cause of the problem. They will vote the pol with the open purse right back in,
