Did You Catch the Ironic Part in Obamas Veterans Day Speech?
Nov. 11, 2013 3:14pm Fred Lucas
President Barack Obama on Monday heralded one of the oldest living veterans in America, even talking about his trip to the nations capital this year as part of the Honor Flight program. Did You Catch the Ironic Part in Obamas Veterans Day Speech?

That would be the same Honor Flight program that brought veterans to Washington, D.C., last month who entered the World War II Memorial in defiance of the government shutdown.
Barricades were placed around the World War II Memorial and other monuments on the National Mall to keep visitors out during the shutdown. Some veterans, aided by members of Congress, ignored the barricades and went to visit the memorial anyway.
Richard Overton, 107, of Austin, Texas, was not part of the group that visited in October, but went with a group of veterans in May. It was nevertheless veterans from Honor Flight who were initially barred from seeing the open-air monuments in Washington.
Ya’ but, wasn’t this vet a Negro? . . . big dif to the foreigner racist in our White House.
And if all this had happened during the Bush admin? What would the MSM say?
Watch and/or listen to The Lord of the Flies give a speech?
No thanks!
“Ya but, wasnt this vet a Negro? . . . big dif to the foreigner racist in our White House.”
But did you notice that Obama made his whole speech about race and nothing about the WWII veterans that he disrespected?
Of Course!It’s”Racism 101”Everyday with OBONGO!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other oddity is that we have Memorial Day to honor the war dead. Veteran’s Day would appear to be to honor living members of the armed services. Is there such a distinction in the original proclamations for these two national holidays?
An Act (52 Stat. 351; 5 U. S. Code, Sec. 87a) approved May 13, 1938, made the 11th of November in each year a legal holidaya day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated and known as “Armistice Day.” Armistice Day was primarily a day set aside to honor veterans of World War I, but in 1954, after World War II had required the greatest mobilization of soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen in the Nations history; after American forces had fought aggression in Korea, the 83rd Congress, at the urging of the veterans service organizations, amended the Act of 1938 by striking out the word “Armistice” and inserting in its place the word “Veterans.” With the approval of this legislation (Public Law 380) on June 1, 1954, November 11th became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.
“Many people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Memorial Day is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died in the service of their country, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle. While those who died are also remembered on Veterans Day, Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military - in wartime or peacetime. “

Well since you didn’t watch thankfully you missed seeing OMuslim bow to the wreath. I kid you not.
Oh my. Maybe thought it looked appropriate?
Hussein may have been born in Hawaii — but he doesn’t think or behave like any American I’ve ever met.
Hussein still does not understand the difference. Even after the gaffe of saying that he saw many of those honored on Memorial Day “here in the audience”
Corpse Men indeed!
In 1958 when unknowns from WWII and Korea were placed along side the unknown soldier from World War One. Read the history of the tomb here.
There was fourth unknown from the Vietnam War interred there for about 10 years, but when DNA testing became practical, his remains were identified as those of US Air Force 1st Lt. Michael Joseph Blassie, and his remains were turned over to his family for burial.
What was said besides “Jesus”?
And lets hope he was the last. Possibly the worst thing is to have someone missing and never know what happened.
Misplaced Honors for a Murdered TSA Worker Dilutes Recognition for Real Heroes
Los Angeles, CAYes, our tax dollars paid and will continue to pay for undeserved honors for a dead TSA screener.
On November 1, 2013 suicidal gunman Paul Anthony Ciancia opened fire at Terminal 3 at LAX Airport killing TSA screener Gerardo Hernandez. Hernandez was not a law enforcement officer, first responder or soldier. He did not deliberately place himself in harms way for others. He was like thousands of other unfortunate killed in the world, simply an ordinary murder victim.
The TSA security theater façade includes some 50,000 people without significant background checks, law enforcement training, arrest powers or firearms. Dressed in police costumes these workers simply screen passengers that are fully aware they will along with their belongings be searched prior to boarding commercial aircraft. This is not a dangerous job like being a cop, convenience store clerk or cab driver.
I have recoiled in disgust every time I heard a politician or news reporter say that Hernandez, “died in the line of duty.” That’s never applied to some murdered 7-11 clerk working nights to feed his or her family. The TSA police costumes seem to have left a false impression.
I’d put TSA workers in simple red jumpsuits saving taxpayers untold millions. They gave these people gold police type badges too?
Being a TSA screener is even safer than being a flight attendant, pilot or gate ticket agent.
