On Monday, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, said from the floor of the House of Representatives that America is now under martial law because of the continuing resolution.
"This is not an idea of anyone over another person. Republican and Democratic Senators have already voted for this clean bill that we could vote on today. We have martial law. What that means--and my colleagues know what it means--is that you can put a bill on in just minutes," she said.

Republicans need to remind the American people just which party is the majority party in DC.

Her hometown newspaper continues to treat her as a serious individual.
When the appalling thought of Lee as a cabinet secretary was floated and rightfully ridiculed on all sides, the Chronicle couldn’t understand what the fuss was about and dutifully reprinting her ‘achievements.’
If we have martial law now, then I want Birdbrain Lee to be the first put up against the wall and shot for stupidity (in her case, Treason would be a lesser included charge).
