Obama sure is no Bill Clinton. Say what you want about Slick Willy, but during the government shutdown of 1995 he was a master of keeping his administration (with the help of the compliant liberal media of course) on message. The message was always the same "The President is ready to negotiate anyplace and so are most rank and file democrats and republicans, but Speaker Newt Gingrich has a personal vendetta against him and refuses." Then Bill Clinton would be out constantly with a one group or another effected by the shutdown "biting his lip" and "feeling their pain".

Obama on the other hand, comes across as petulant, and angry with an attitude of "How DARE these Republicans not give me everything I demand!" and even when he attempts the "feel your pain" theatrics he comes across with all the emotional feeling of a tenured mathematics professor.
