FBI Washington field office just confirmed gunman was NOT armed with AR15. Spokesperson says 1 shotgun and 2 pistols recovered— Pamela Brown (@PamelaBrownCNN) September 17, 2013
Well, since the guns were taken from law enforcement, they should not have guns anymore. Just like London. Just think how many lives would have been spared if leo didn’t have these evil pieces of metal!
The media fixation on the AR-15 is completely absurd. A nutcase with a bow and arrow can kill, and as I suspect the case here, shooting down on a crowd or down corridor with a shotgun is pretty deadly too.
The Benelli M4 Super 90 has been adopted by the Navy/Marines as the M1014 - the receiver looks a lot like that of an AK.

The press get it wrong again.
What a surprise.

Didn’t you hear, now they say it was his ‘actual’ ID for the gig.
No telling what else they have gotten wrong. Who feed them this info to begin with?

And the lapse in security clearances was due to the sequester. /sarc.
The false storyline has already been created for low-information voters.
Never let a crisis go to waste ...
gun control,
sequester,
healthcare,
etc.
Thanks for the ping!
In this case, a guy who uses excuses to shoot others and who almost killed someone before this with a gun should have been on some national data base for sure.
Now unless you want to lobotomize the mental, we have to have the mental documented and restricted from certain activities.
Do you want one as a crossing guard?
Do you want them having sensitive security clearances?
Precisely their plan - Alinsky tactics. Strike first and quickly with the lie so it becomes “fact.”
The people in the military presently carrying sidearms, except base LEOs, are those who "don't really need them" (officers), or those who should be carrying some type of more capable weapon (security).
The rest should have the ability to secure at least their own safety or better, to use a sidearm as intended, to "fight their way back to the rifle they shouldn't have set down."
The elitist idea that rank and file military cant be trusted with a pistol is asinine. This idea was born from the tradition of sword and pistol representing status of a noble in command and has no place in a functional modern military.
If Im supposed to trust an individual to drive a tank, fire artillery, fly ordinance over my city, or protect my Secrets, then I can trust them to carry a sidearm.
Those who cant be trusted SHOULDNT BE IN THE MILITARY and need to be booted.
Cmon it was an AR-15 Shotgun, but I cant seem to find store that hasnt sold out of them already../sarc.
Back when those two guys were sniping at people in Washington, D.C., Katie Coric opined that the AR-type rifle's accuracy was especially deadly because "it had spirals in the barrel". (I am not creative enough to make up something like this)
Where can I get one and does it come in both 12 and 20 ga. ?
Piers Morgan said that it was a FACT that the gunman bought the AR-15 from a Northern Virginia gun store. FACT!
* Obviously, I don’t mean that those engaging in specific tasks where the sidearm is more likely to do harm should be carrying while doing those specific tasks, ie the lab tech doing MRIs shouldn’t be carrying while in the same room as the imager, etc.
This is a twitter by Pamela Brown of CNN. Has anyone seen a definitive statement by the FBI?
Has CNN yet confirmed its dismissal of Piers Morgan for his knee-jerk histrionics unfounded on any facts?
