LAKE MARY, Fla. —
Channel 9 has learned police were called Monday to a domestic disturbance involving George Zimmerman and a gun at a home in Lake Mary.
Police were called to the scene on Sprucewood Road about 2:30 p.m. though no other details have been released.
Last week, Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman, filed for divorce, weeks after her husband's acquittal in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Indeed. Just because Zimmerman isn't the brightest or most balanced individual, that doesn't make his late, unlamented assailant any more appealing or worthy of sympathy.
Zimmerman is guilty of poor judgment, not murder.

So it would be safe to assume that they were renting this house from her parents for the last year.
That would certainly appear to be the house. $1k/mo is bargain rent. Zillow pegs the rent at $2125.
However, according to Pinkbell's link in #233, they were no longer living there at the time of this incident. It seems likely George and his new GF visited the house to retrieve some belongings of George's. Shellie turned out to be there, and an altercation over thew new GF ensued.
Yes. I just watched the local news. O’Mara held a press conference and this is what he said: GZ and Shellie were to come to the house and get their things seperately. Shellie had already been there and today George was to come and he did. Shellie showed up unexpectedly. There are heightened emotions after the trial and they got into a bit of pushing and shoving over pots and pans. There was no gun involved. They are still getting a divorce and the trial is what has strained the marriage to this point. The surveillance tapes in the house do not show much of anything. Shellie and her dad did not press charges. GZ and Shellie have been told to stay away from each other.
I do agree with the verdict. However, this incident today has allowed people who disagreed with the verdict to feel vindicated. They already believed he was guilty, and this cements it in their minds.
Why he would supposedly punch dad in law and break his Ipad and threaten people with his gun doesn't make sense. Regarding that, either she is bending it to fit her story and she is lying AGAIN or George is losing it.

Apparently this was the day that GZ was supposed to pick up his things at the house but Shellie decided to show up and made a scene.
I agree with you 100%.
Now I’m curious about the GF. That can make a wife angry. When did he have time in the last year to woo a GF???
I do not think Shellie knew the other girl was with him. I think she found that out after the altercation took place. Right at the end of the 911 call, you can hear her say “WAIT A MINUTE. HOLD ON. There’s a person in there? OMG! OMG!” I could not figure out what she was talking about until seeing on FR about the girlfriend.!!!

Think about it like a wife Uncle Chip. He was having strain in his marriage before the trial. Then it got worse. A past love writes to you while in jail and pours her heart out to you and she is waiting for you after the trial. I think it is very possible!
The press asked O’Mara if George and Shellie had been living with the father there. He said “George was but he will be moving with all of you in the press standing out here now.” You should have heard how O’Mara got indignant when the reporters asked if they should take his gun away with all the heightened emotions. He gave it to them good!!! I need to find the video of the press conference.
