LAKE MARY, Fla. —
Channel 9 has learned police were called Monday to a domestic disturbance involving George Zimmerman and a gun at a home in Lake Mary.
Police were called to the scene on Sprucewood Road about 2:30 p.m. though no other details have been released.
Last week, Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman, filed for divorce, weeks after her husband's acquittal in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

He’s inside the residence with his attorney and police. Likely recovering some items of property that he wanted.
Shellie can be heard on the 911 call saying that George hit her father.
If GZ actually hit her father then he would be arrested but he is not being arrested.
It sounds to me like she made a false 911 report especially since she is refusing to give a statement.
This sounds like Shellie the drama queen.
First thing he has to do is move to another state and change his last name, maybe a common Hispanic last name. That way he will blend with the Hispanic population that is quite numerous now.

Some women can be very vindictive when their marriage breaks up and there is no greater way to inflict pain on the ex than to knife him in the back with the media eagerly waiting for any dirt they can find on him.
You are right. GZ needs to stay away after this or there will be more drama. I do not like how Shellies little brother is bad mouthing GZ on tv like he has all this overwhelming guilt and self hate either and went off the deep end. Geesh!

I take every little thing I hear from the media about Zimmerman with a rather large grain of salt, including word of these latter-day “brushes with the law.” They are not indicative of Zimmerman’s attitude as much as they are about the prism through which everybody seems to view him.
As soon as I heard the wife announcing the breakup, I knew we’d be treated to months of parting shots. This is just part of it. If this were a just world, she’d be looking at legal issues of her own involving false reporting.
He had better get the divorce out of the way first before suing anyone otherwise his wife will want half of everything. I think if he sues after he is divorced and legally free of her then she cannot come back and ask for her share. But I’m not a lawyer, what do I know.
George Zimmerman was today questioned by police after allegedly threatening his estranged wife with a handgun in an altercation sparked by claims he has been having an affair, MailOnline can reveal.
Friend and key defense witness John Donnelly told MailOnline: 'George has been having an affair with his ex-fiancee. Shellie believes it flared back up after the acquittal.'
Zimmerman was engaged to beautician Veronica Zuazo, who herself filed a domestic violence complaint against him in a messy series of counter complaints that led to their split.
Police were called to the Lake Mary, Florida residence owned by Shellie Zimmerman's parents, David and Machelle Dean, after she made a panicked 911 call at around 2.15pm Monday.
'I'm really really afraid,' Shellie says in the call, claiming Zimmerman punched her father in the nose and threatened to shoot them both. 'I don't know what he's capable of. I'm really, really scared...
'He's in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun. He keeps staying "Step closer". He's just threatening all of us with his firearm. He's going to shoot us.
'He punched my dad in the nose. My dad has a mark on the face. I saw his glasses on the floor.'
Officers said a gun was found at the scene but there were no significant injuries. In the call Shellie requests medical help as she says her father is shaking and could have a heart attack.
Zimmerman was briefly in police custody but was not arrested, and Shellie and her father have declined to press charges. Zimmerman has now returned to the home with his attorney, Mark O'Mara.
He told police that his estranged wife and her father were actually the aggressors, a spokesman said. Police said there are video cameras inside the house and they will review the incident.
According to Mr Donnelly, Shellie confronted her husband who has been 'AWOL' since his acquittal and whose only contact with his wife has been via a number of texts stating simply: 'I'm fine'.
'During the trial they were sequestered, moved from house to house there just wasn't any opportunity for anything like that [an affair] to go on,' he said. 'To the best of my knowledge and hers this started up after the trial.'
Last week, Shellie Zimmerman filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, claiming that their marriage was 'irretrievably broken' following his murder trial in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Friends told MailOnline that she had been collecting belongings from the home - where she stayed with Zimmerman during his trial - when her estranged husband turned up.
It is not thought that Zimmerman knew his estranged wife would be at the property. They have not lived there for six months.
Speaking to MailOnline, Donnelly's wife Leanne Benjamin, a key defense witness at the trial and friend of George and Shellie for more than a decade, reacted to news of Zimmerman's arrest.
Speaking from her Lake Mary home, she said: 'I'm relieved. He was a powder keg waiting to blow... I feel relieved now that he... might get some quiet time and some psychological help.
'If he had run into a stranger and got into an altercation he might have hurt someone or ended up hurt or dead himself.'
Her husband Donnelly, a Vietnam vet and army medic, added: 'As far as we understand Shellie had gone back to the house - a property owned by her father - to collect some belongings.
'Her father was with her. It was one of the places they stayed for about six months during the trial.
'George showed up with his gun. It was a domestic altercation. Shellie was getting stuff, her father wants to clear the house out to sell it.'
He added: 'I would have taken that gun from him and thrown it into the nearest lake.'
Shellie's brother DJ Dean was home when the incident started today and told reported that his brother-in-law changed after the shooting.
'Before the incident, he was probably the nicest person I ever met,' he told reporters. 'I think the guilt and self-hatred got to him.'

I see dollar signs for the Nancy Graces of the MSM.
I can easily see a restrqaining order coming out of this which means GZ's RKBA will be suspended.
He should take Laz's "law low" advice. In fact, I have a vacation coming up and am seriously considering it. :)
- Hasn't seen his wife since the trial. Only communicated via texts.
- Started an affair with his ex-fiancee after the trial; same woman with whom Zimmerman filed & counter-filed domestic violence complaints before his marriage. [Stupid]
- Blond woman with long black sun dress shows up under the trees where Zimmerman was standing. Part of 911 calls, can hear his wife gasping about “a woman,” probably his ex-fiancee / current mistress.
- House that his wife's father owns and in which they stayed for a time after the martyrdom of Saint Trayvon of Skittles. Appears as though wife's brother lives there now. Zimmerman's wife & her father show up at the house to collect possessions, and suddenly Zimmerman arrives. Either he was tipped off by an insider or a tail...or willing to bet he has access to her voice mail or texts.
No matter what, everyone in this drama is scroooed up.
It also emerged on Monday that the couple had lived at the house throughout the trial, despite Shellie saying in an earlier interview that they had been hiding out in 'a trailer in the woods'.
In reality, they were staying at the $240,000 home, which has a pool and spa in the backyard and two security cameras on its front door.

It probably would not be a bad idea for GZ to carry a gun AND a recorder to record everything. PITA but it would resolve things like this quickly.
Trying to flip through the thread while working off and on here. The local news (Denver) is screaming that GZ was waving and threatening with a gun.

He was acquitted. He should have been acquitted. I have no problem at all with that sport. Do you?
But do you think he’s a hero of some sort? He isn’t. He exercised bad judgment. And he’s repeatedly proving that his judgement just isn’t that great. I wouldn’t be surprised a bit if he’s in jail one year from now on something totally unrelated to T. Martin.
