I know. It was an overly broad generalization, but it is the one that most EITC filers use.
Look, you know if you are a burden or not and whether to be insulted by my comments or not. People that are society’s burden sure as hell aren’t filing the 1040A long form.
Lucky you! I’m a fairly good cook and my husband is pretty good, too, but we definitely overspend on groceries. I’m really a very bad shopper.
Musicians don't need money to get chicks.
How is that different from any other guy?
A bit of a cost saving tip: Almost always, the bacon at the service counter is cheaper than the packaged bacon, and I think much higher quality than the other option. Yesterday's trip to the market, the service counter bacon was $3.98 a pound, a half pound package of bacon in the cooler was $3.50.
He won’t have a nice car, a nice job, manners, clothes, all those trappings that at least other guys have to fall back on when these flighty females finally come down off their hormones and start thinking.
I’ve noticed. But the packaged brands are going out of sight...
This guy should have a major speaking part at the next Democratic convention. They could title it, “what it means to be a good democrat”.
You’re right.
That’s why we have to put our snarks on YT LOL

Don’t worry, I am not insulted but I do taxes and I am interested in the accuracy of information posted on FR.
If you really want to link “societies’ burdens” with tax forms, then it is the 1040A or even the real “long form,” the venerable 1040 itself, that most would use. Those are the only forms that support all the various child tax credits, and the big dollar value EITC. EZ filers (single, no kids), their EITC caps out at 14K income which is chump change).
Some will go as far as to gin up a 1099 misc to claim small business income to place themselves at the top of the EITC curve. Others will “trade” kids since more than 3 do not increase the Federal goodies that come at tax time.
No, those gaming the system will use the more complicated forms to be sure and claim “everything that is coming to them.”
But when those flighty females come down off their hormones, what will those flighty females have to fall back on?
See, it balances out.
This is why we must dismantle these programs. Charity begins at home, and should stay in the community. To me, it was a natural conclusion that the programs would be abused as soon as the restrictions on food stamps went away. Little plastic card, buy pretty much whatever you want, avoid CRV taxes in many states, avoid bag taxes in many cities...
Delete that program, people will only starve if they choose to starve. There are plenty of options out there already, and let me tell you, people are more than willing to use all of them.
Can't count the number of times I helped out at food banks, I'd see the same people in three different locations on three consecutive days - they'd each grab enough food to feed a family of 4 for a week, go back to their SUV, and the four 'families' would fill the back and be at the next location.
“WOOOORRRRRRRKKKKKKKK”!!Maynard’s ides of a four-letter word?????????
Go look at line 8a of the 1040EZ. You can get EITC on that form. I’ve been to WM and other box stores where H&R Block, Jackson/Hewitt, and other tax companies are grabbing EITC filers consistently during tax time. Most of them print out the 1040EZ for the EITC filers.
He’ll probably wind up killing his aging mother a few years down the road when she denies him some money so he can “hang out at the beach”.
which is exactly why you don’t spend $200 on yourself, because it’s YOUR money, you earned it and thus appreciate what it took to get it.
It’s ALWAYS easier to spend other peoples money.
Thanks, you made my point more eloquently than I could!
