Bacon was $2.98-3.98 a pound; sometimes store brands in the $2-$2.50 area. Now $6.98 a lot of the time.

A bit of a cost saving tip: Almost always, the bacon at the service counter is cheaper than the packaged bacon, and I think much higher quality than the other option. Yesterday's trip to the market, the service counter bacon was $3.98 a pound, a half pound package of bacon in the cooler was $3.50.
