Yah the last thing he wants to do is get sent to jail for ANY amount of time on any trumped up charge. Even a few hours could mean his death unfortunately.

There is not a single hint that anybody he made contact with when he was pulled over for speeding had any problem with the gun he announced to them he was carrying in the vehicle. He went on his way just fine, according to the story. Was not cited for speeding but was warned. Much less was his gun any problem...

Texas redefined the “Castle Doctrine” in 2008 to include your car. Perry signed the law in 2011, I believe, to allow people the right to have their handgun secured in their vehicle at work.

It makes practical sense to allow people access to their weapon when they are most likely to need it.

Who doesn't exceed the speed limit when your driving through Texas, the west, or the south west? Hundreds of miles of highway with no one around...except the trooper sitting behind the sign.
