If he lives in Florida, can he legally carry a weapon in his car in Texas? I was under the impression you can’t transport weapons across state lines without a specific permit for the state you are in. Is this story BS?

If you have a concealed carry permit (which George does)Then many other states recognize it and honor it.
Texas and Florida recognize each others CCW permits.

Anyone but a felon can carry a weapon in their car in Texas. Permits are for sissy states.

"In a state that has concealed carry, too, wouldn’t they choose to recognize your permit from another conceal carry state?"

I don't know. That's why I asked. Back when I was a Peace Officer and had to qualify every year, I could have purchased a gun on my badge here in NY State, but I chose not to because I had young kids at the time and didn't want to bring a gun into the house. I've always assumed that your weapons permit covered you for the county and state you lived in, and that it was illegal to transport a weapon over state lines. Since I've never owned a gun, I have no idea what the laws are in other states. I'm glad he has a gun. Hopefully, he has more than one.

FYI In Texas one does not need CC to carry a handgun in their car. They only need to be "traveling" to carry. It must be concealed and they must inform an officer when they are stopped. Assuming that they are not a felon.

I mean Good Lord is this man going to be followed for the rest of his life and cant get a moment’s peace..yeah, he had a gun, SO WHAT! And if they are making a fuss about him having a gun in Texas we as a society are pretty much screwed anyway..you would think the last place he would have an issue with carrying a piece would be Texas

I think there’s more to it than that. A state can choose to recognize documentation from another state and it makes sense to do so in certain situations and this looks like it would be one of them. A state where no such permit even exists would be problematic but believe me, Texas is not looking to arrest and charge people just because their permit is from another state.

Probably why George moved to Texas.

Lots of Hispanics and relaxed gun laws.

Glad George Z. Made it to Free America, the last bastion of Liberty in the Socialst States of American (formerly the Land of The Free). There he may live free (as long as he stays out of Austin).

REAL gun control.

Take firm, two-handed stance while bringing the point of the barrel up to aim at target.

Hold breath, while using the sighting device to draw a bead on the target.

Brace for the recoil, squeeze the trigger smoothly without jerking.

Depending on the design of the weapon, either work the bolt action, inserting new cartridge in chamber, or allow the semi-automatic feature to chamber the next cartridge, then assume the stance previously held, proceeding with the breath control, the aiming through the sighting device, and squeezing off a round. Repeat as necessary until the SOB falls down.
