A report was not filed after Scheppers said police told him it was unlikely that anybody would be apprehended.

Is this how the Dallas PD keeps its crime stats down?

There might be video footage, etc. around and they should at least pretend to investigate it. He's young and fit, but what are they going to say when these thugs kill some older innocent victim? There's no point in the police investigating because they might not find the thugs? Heck, that's true in any case, but you still have to investigate.

My husband is scheduled for surgery at Cleveland Clinic next month, and we live several hundred miles away. This is going to require me to stay at a hotel for about a week, and walk to the hospital. I’m thinking of cancelling and looking for a safer hospital.
