Just In Case George Zimmerman Walks Free... by Russell Simmons
Global Grind ^ | July 9, 2013 | Russell Simmons

Posted on 07/09/2013 12:20:14 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Like so many people across the country, I have followed the murder trial of George Zimmerman very closely. As we enter what is probably the last week of the trial, I am sure that everyone is anxious about the outcome. For the past sixteen months, I have proudly supported the courageous parents of Trayvon Martin as they have fought for justice for their son. I have greatly admired the grace and humility that they have exuded throughout this entire tragic ordeal. For them, the day of judgement in the courtroom will be a very difficult day and I certainly will say a prayer for them when that day comes.

Even with this important day coming soon, I remind myself that we have already accomplished a tremendous amount in the memory of Trayvon. All we ever asked for was for equal justice for the young man who was killed that drizzling night in Sanford, Florida. If George Zimmerman had rights, so did Trayvon Martin. And that is why Mr. Zimmerman was properly arrested and charged with murder in the second degree. He will soon be judged by a jury of his peers, and that is the best we can do. Whatever decision they make, is a decision that we must live with, whether we like it or not. Whether George Zimmerman is found innocent or guilty by the jury, I am firm believer that all of us live by karmic law, and he will ultimately be punished for the death of Trayvon, no matter what. However, if he walks free out of that courtroom, I understand that some people will be very sad, but we must remember the mission we are on. As I have heard Trayvon's parents say time and time again, they are not only fighting for justice for their son, they are fighting for all of us, especially those parents who have to live through the misery of burying their child and the sadness that comes after.

Their inspiring leadership has already led to action. In 2012, for the first time in 8 years, not ONE state in our nation passed a new "Stand Your Ground" law. The power of the NRA and their gun-toting cronies in business were stopped in their tracks by the Justice For Trayvon Martin movement. That is an incredible accomplishment. That is the mission we must continue after this trial is over. Led by the heroism of Trayvon's parents, we will support their efforts to not only block new laws from being enacted, but also repeal the laws in the twenty five states who already passed "Stand Your Ground" type legislation. And we will certainly support their healing process, as they have become great protectors of our nation's compassion. It is the future that needs to be protected and everyone who stood up for Trayvon plays a part in that protection. If we failed to protect Trayvon on February 26, 2012, we will pledge to never make that mistake again.

Never we will stop fighting for justice for Trayvon, guilty verdict or acquittal, as our work will never be done!

Note that he never explicitly calls on Holder's people to restrain from rioting if Zimmerman is acquitted. He makes statements that could be interpreted that way, but his last sentence sounds like a call to arms in the case of acquittal.

“Courageous parents?”

Error, error.

They are neglectful parents who allowed their son to become a creepy sleazy pot smoking piece of smelly Obama-crement with no education, no morals, and no brain.

Shove it.

Shove it often, idiot.

This isn’t a stand your ground case.

Further stand your ground is perfectly fine. If thugs can “stand their ground” and attack you with impunity, damage or kill you in the process, damage your property, threaten your life,

an unwilling participant victim ought to have the ability to defend themselves without a requirement to retreat first.

There is no such requirement on the thugs attacking you. It is freaking insane to hold victims to a higher standard of defense when the attacker offense has none they are held to. These people are being ambushed, they have homes broken into, they are surprise attacks, they are already at a disparity of force situation because of being ambushed/surprise attacked. The attacker is fully aware of their plan, it takes several seconds for the victim to realize and determine what’s going on and defending themselves.

He’s like those other lefties who just pull words out of their nether region with no consideration or concern for what they’re saying, it just sounds good. “Grace”, “humility”, those are two overworked ones. Another one I’ve heard overused and misused is “humanity”. Someone is always being lauded for their great quality of “humanity”. Lefties and their fellow travelers all work from the same tired page.

Guilty or Not Guilty, they are coming.

And in either case, whites are not going to be the ones starting them. Probably will be the ones ending them, if they are threatened.

Yes, I admire the way the Martin’s have fought for all of our rights.

Every one of us should be able to lurk around other people’s homes, especially if we have burglary tools in our car, or at our place of residence. And if there’s what looks to be stolen property there, the Martin’s efforts to look out for us are even more important. These are rights we must all fight to make sure we don’t lose.

Then there’s the right to pummel another person’s head into the sidewalk. While we’re at it, we mustn’t forget the right to hit someone in the face first, cause harm as well as the potential for death. Defend on Martins. Kudos. You just don’t see freedom fighters like this every day.

We must all fight for Trayvon Martin. This poor lad was only holding his fist out when Zimmerman ran into them. He was only holding on to Zimmerman’s head as Zimmerman pounded it into the sidewalk himself.

Such a miscarriage of justice here. Zimmerman still being alive and Martin not, you just have to wonder if society couldn’t do something more to protect Martin’s rights.

Zimmerman was simply lucky to be able to know a man like Martin. It’s such a shame he doesn’t realize this.

Russell Simmons stated:
“ I am firm believer that all of us live by karmic law”

Then, as you have shown yourself to be so much of a one that is anti-Constitution, may a thug visit you at your next coffee shop stop, when you fuel your car, when you get groceries, when you get your hair coiffed.

Did anyone read the comments in the Global Grind? The idiots totally disregard the evidence and just pity the poor black boy. Facts mean nothing to them.

Lead singer of KISS?

You're thinking of Gene Simmons....the bass player. Lead singer would be Paul Stanley.

Or did you forget the sarcasm tag?
