I hear what you’re saying but....
I think he’s done. After RINOs Bush I, Dole, Bush II, McCain and Romney, the heart of the party—regular people—NOT the Rove-style consultants and Moscow-on-the-Potomac GOPe—is seriously looking for something different.
I do believe a battle royale is coming. If the GOPe pushes TEA partiers and conservatives out THIS time, there will be massive abandonment of the Republican party.
Last year I fought heavily with the anti-Mitts because, hey, he was better than Obama. And I still think Mitt would have been better than Obama, and Obama’s reelection has seriously screwed us over, with the damage to be yet unknown, but extensive.
However, I AM DONE. Yes me, Alas Babylon!, loyal Republican, has had his fill. I will not pull the lever (actually, fill in the circle with a number 2 pencil) for a RINO again.
I believe there are millions more coming to the same conclusion. The GOPe has got to take notice. Will they?
If Jeb is the nominee, there’s no way in Hell he’ll get my vote.
Does a writer at Fox give Juan a script for every show? He goes off so far into lala land on every topic, it is hard to tolerate listening to the panel.
Hurl Trifecta!
Former President George W. Bush pressed lawmakers to act on comprehensive immigration reform and expressed confidence they were making some progress on the contentious issue during an interview aired Sunday on ABCs “This Week.”
I think it’s very important to fix a broken system, to treat people with respect, and have confidence in our capacity to assimilate people, Bush told ABCs Jonathan Karl in an interview taped last week during his visit to Africa. It’s a very difficult bill to pass because there’s a lotta moving parts. And the legislative process is— can be ugly. But it looks like they’re making some progress.
(snip)
Well, the reason to pass immigration reform is not to bolster a Republican party, it’s to fix a system that’s broken, said Bush. Good policy yields good politics as far as I’m concerned.
Funny how none of the shows are pointing out what a massive failure Egypt is to Obama. Seems like he had nothing to do with his crown jewel.
I did keep my self-control. Thank me very much.
He couldn’t say anything else nice about Sussex county except it’s.....cheap?
He was caught between a rock and a hard place. He left Wilmington to come here where the living’s real nice.
In fact, I asked a couple of other meeting attendees where the nicest place in the world was to live....in fact, ask anyone living here where the nicest place in the world is to live....the meeting attendees said “Lewes, Delaware”.
So okay, they needed a bit of tweaking. I asked them if they could maybe include Georgetown Delaware and they said sure.
I chanced to ask the ladies at the bank where I was signing away my life for the house....I asked them too where was the nicest place in the world to live.
The VP of the bank (Yes indeed I got a VP, such is my importance) shrugged and said, after a pause and some thought, “I can’t imagine living anywhere else but here.”
This county is growing bejeesus because the world is catching on to this little paradise on the coast.
It’s dolts like the New Jersey boobs moving down this way and that Wilmington guy that don’t want to admit their ideas didn’t work, that they must endure living with the heathens in the south.
Heh.
Review of FOX “news” proObama mostly pro al Qaeda Panel
Brit Hume - “We dont know what is going on.” but
then calls it a “military coup”.
Brit Hume supports al Qaeda and the Moslem Brotherhood
and warns of Elbaradei (”no great friend of the US”),
and minimizes Elbaradeis role in enabling the Iranian bomb.
Nina Easton - Morsi was “authoritarian” “inept”.
Nina Easton supports al Qaeda and the Moslem Brotherhood.
Dennis Kuchinich notes that the Egyptian military
gets much funding from US. They came to his office.
Dennis Kuchinich calls it a “military coup”.
Dennis Kuchinich supports al Qaeda and the Moslem Brotherhood.
Juan Williams does not want to remove aid.
he notes this is “an important ally”.
He wisely discusses the Egyptian view of El baradei.
Juan Williams does NOT support al Qaeda
and the Moslem Brotherhood.
The Moderator tries to correct him.
Then Easton purports the Moslem Brotherhood
will “guide democracy”.
Juan Williams responds noting US interests are important.
He then says Morsi “is not a good guy”.
WOW.
Today, I am in agreement with Juan Williams who
is the ONLY panelist remembers 911 and
does not to support al Qaeda/Ikhwan/MB.
It looks like Karzai is marrying them!
A simple civil ceremony.
John! Linda! You can come do this in the States now! The Supremes struck down DOMA!
LOL! Spot on!
Probably a democrat operative:o(
Oh AB....me neither.
This immigration bill, as I typed last week, is my “line in the sand”. I am already furious at the Elite Republicans in the House of Lords but let our Country Class Representatives mess this up and I shall change parties and never vote Republican again.
Power and privilege VS freedom.
Trey has made a national name for himself and thus could raise a lot of money to combat not only Lindas fat war chest but all the big bucks Mr Amnesty is going to get from the RNC, Karl Rove and all the other GOP-e RINO PACs out to destroy conservatives in the Republican Party.
Believe you me, our SC TEA Parties have already started bugging Trey and we can almost guarantee him a Sarah Palin endorsement which is huge around these parts.
Unless the Hon Gowdy is holding out for Prez in 16, the above is an offer he just cant refuse.
First, beating a Grahamnesty is a longshot.
Second, if you do, you run the risk of losing to the Demovik anyway.
Third: how many of these insurgent Republicans will really be reliable once elected to congress? Haven’t at least 25 percent of the House tea party winners already sold out on one core matter or another? And it looks like they are all about to go el foldo on “immigration reform.”
As long as they are “Republicans” I doubt they can be fully trusted. And I’m in no way a purist on these things, nor some sort of half-witted libertarian. I’m a national defense, free market, values-driven conservative beholden to the same basic beliefs as Buckley or Goldwater or Schaffly or Reagan.
In short, almost no one in the Republican party but for Palin really represents me. And she has no future in the party.
Morning Mr. D.
I been watching this Egyptian thing all week, wondering what it’s all about, what it means.
I do know my President the Lamebrain who will do anything for the right money, supported Morsi and his MB cohorts.
Frankly I don’t think we even begin to know what damage that man has done to Egypt. Come on-12 million people took to the streets!
People don’t just do that unless there’s big there. I understand Morsi ruined Egypt’s tourism industry and murdered a lot of Coptic Christians. I’m sure there’s more we’ll hear about though not from OUR media for God’s sake.
I ponder an America where the people get so disgusted that they just stop all activity and take to the streets. Maybe the immigration bill will prompt such a thing.
Wonder what side OUR army will be on?
McCain to Graham:
“Princess! Have you been taking Poppa’s Viagra again?”
I am as sick of the National Republican party as you are but, if we all give up and vote anyone but, we are the ones that will be screwed. We need to do more than complain on the blogs, etc. Get active in the party. It will take time to undo what we have allowed to happen. At lease, in Alabama, we have made great strides.
More Bushes ...
Report: Giffords meets with George H.W. Bush on gun control tour
Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and her husband Mark Kelly met with former President George H.W. Bush on Saturday during her tour to push for new gun controls, according to ABC News.
Giffords spokeswoman Pia Carusone told ABC they had lunch at Bushs home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
(snip)
I agree with everything you say except that bit about Sarah Palin having no future.
Well she has no future with the Republican party I suppose but let her go independent and I’m with her.
It is bad when Kuchinich makes more sense than Williams.
Bob, um, they are republicants, not republicans. Those who are not being blackmailed are bought and paid for, with the rare exception of men like Gowdy and Cruz.
