Rush Limbaugh gives Freepers some love! I heard it, and was hoping that Rush would bring his audience up to speed on where Free Republic is today, but he strayed off into talking about the Tea Party and never came back.
Ah well, it was a good mention. We'll probably get a rash of new members because of it.

That’s good he can see and credit that. But thank goodness we with accounts are the tip of an iceberg of Freepers who are not signed up but remain Orthodox Americans anyway.

The March for Justice.. Matt Drudge spoke to the crowd..as did Ann Coulter..she stood next to me for most of the speeches..chain-smoked about 5 packs of Gauloises...Connie Haire ( a.k.a. Clinton's a liar ) ran the show..
FR launched a lot of careers..those WERE the days..
Somewhere I have a pic of Mr. Cigarman..

One of my biggest thrills was posting early one morning, then turning on Rush and have him open the show with my comment! I think Rush still does show prep here once in a while. I was surprised a few years back to hear him use my tagline as the 'outro' to a commercial break.

HUGH, beeber, along with some other corky words were coined here in FR a long time ago and have become a permanent fixture in the FR dictionary languago!

If the March for Justice is the one where they marched with state flags, I didn’t make it. I came to the next events.
I’ve been back there two or three times. It was great to be a part of the process.
Came to CPAC a couple of times and to the House Manager’s dinner.
Those WERE the days.

During the very first of the "Tea Party" protests here in Florida in March '09, we, FreeRepublic, had an information table at every rally. (March, August & November rallies)

FreeRepublic is like a river and you toss your ideas into it and you don't know where those ideas will end up.
And, someone downstream will read what you wrote and begin to feel as though they are not alone with their ideas.
It is good to be a Freeper.

Since Prodigy BB.LOL! That's where I came in... Sure don't miss those "guides" or whatever the hell they called themselves on $Prodigy! FR's "Mods" shine in comparison to those weasels!

As well he should because RUSH has been making MILLIONS of dollars off of Free Republic for years. A good 90% of what he covers is just a rehash of news and opinion articles he has read off of Free Republic by way of his "show prep". I have usually read the stories he covers and opines on anywhere from 6 hours to two days BEFORE he comments on them on Free Republic. The same holds true for Howie Carr. By in large they are just regurgitating stories poste on FR.
These guys have been making MILLIONS of dollars for years from Free Republic. It is about time RUSH and Howie along with numerous other "talk show hosts" step up to the plate and financially support FR with some serious cash. So while it is nice that RUSH gives kudos to FR, it would be better still if he backed it up with some serious cash. Heavens knows he can afford it.

Yes, Rush has lurked from the beginning. BUT I started listening to Rush when I lived in Sacramento in the 80’s. He was good! This was long before Freepers We followed his lead. Give El Rushbo his due respect.
